    • A horizontal feedwater heater for use in heat power stations, of the type having a shell (1), a plurality of U-bent heat transfer tubes (6) extended in the longitudinal direction of the shell and a vent tube (15) extended in the longitudinal direction of the shell substantially at the centre of the latter and adapted for extracting and discharging non-condensed gas. The feedwater heater has a baffle (20) arranged at each side of the vent tube and having a horizontal plate portion (20a) extended horizontally from the vent tube and an inclined plate portion (20b) inclined downwardly from the end of the horizontal plate portion at an obtuse angle to the latter. The length of projection of the baffle (20) from the vent tube (15) is varied along the length of the shell in accordance with the ratio of amount of heat exchanged between the steam and feedwater in each axial section of the tube nest (16) connected to the feedwater inlet (3) to the amount of heat exchanged between these fluids in the corresponding tube nest section of the feedwater outlet side (4), thereby to permit an efficient extraction of the non-condensed gas. The structural members contactable with the heating steam is made from a low alloy steel containing more than 1 % of Cr to exhibit a high corrosion resistance.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion in the system apparatus and piping of a power generation plant provided with a deaerator in a feed water system by controlling the O2 and H2O2 fed through the outport of a condensate pump with the deaerator. CONSTITUTION:The feed water of the above-described power generation plant is passed through a condenser 2, a condensate hot well 3, a condensate desalter 6, a heater 8 for low pressure feed water, a deaeration chamber 9 of a deaerator, a water storage tank 10 for the deaerator and a heater 13 for high pressure feed water. The feed water is fed to a boiler 14 and after the feed water is converted to steam therein, the steam is admitted 15 into a turbine 1 and is returned again into the condenser 2 after it is used for working in the case of a heat power plant. A feeder 20 for an oxidizing agent such as O2 or H2O2 is provided after a condensate pump 7 to feed O2 or H2O2 in order to prevent the corrosion of the apparatus and piping during the above-mentioned period. The feed water 26, from the heater 8, contg. the O2 admitted into the chamber 9 is put into a spray chamber 27. The opening of the valve 28 in the chamber 27 is increased in this stage to put the feed water 26 into a feed water tray chamber 29, whereby the concn. of O2 is controlled.
