摘要： Iron oxides can be economically and efficiently removed from feed water through magnetic attraction by providing a magnetic attracting means 48 in a feed water conduit connecting an air separator compartment 9A to an air separator water tank 10 in an air separator in a feed water and condensed water system in a thermoelectric power plant. The magnetic attracting means may be in the downcomer 25 or, as shown, in the distributor therebelow. Numerous arrangements of permanent magnets are described.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain boiler feed water having excellent quality, and to enhance an efficiency of a power plant, by providing an iron oxide removing device which incorporates permanent magnets, to the downstream of a water storing tank of deaerator to which drain is returned from a high-pressure feed water heater. CONSTITUTION:A feed water piping 11 connected to a low-pressure feed water heater 8 and a drain piping 17C connected to a high-pressure feed water heater 13 are respectively connected to the upper part of a deaerator 9 and; an iron oxide removing device 20 constructed by attaching permanent magnets 21 to supporting rods 22 is connected to a feed water piping 11 installed between a water storing tank 10 of the deaerator and a feed water pump 12. Here, the drain water of heater 13 containing a large amount of iron, and the feed water introduced from the heater 8 are flowed together in a confluent state; and after deaeration, eluted iron carried into the feed water from the heater 8 and iron oxides produced in the drain piping connected to the heater 13 are attracted and removed by a magnet 21 in the removing device 20.

A heating steam pipe 25 coupled to a boiler is connected to the side of the deaerator 10. A plurality of permanent magnets 27 are provided at the bottom of a deaeration chamber 28. As a result, iron oxides are efficiently removed from the feed water system to obtain boiler feed water of good quality to heighten the operation efficiency of a thermal power plant.

CONSTITUTION: In the system of a power generating plant, feed-water flows through a condenser 2, a plurality of hot wells 3, a condensate line pipe 4, a condensate pump 5, a condensate desalinator 6, a condensate-pressurizing pump 7, low pressure feed-water heaters 8A-8C, a deaerator 9, a water reservoir 10 for the deaerator 9, a feed line pipe 11, a feed-water pump 12 and high pressure feed-water heaters 13A-13C into a boiler 14, to geneate steam, passes through a steam pipe 15, works in a turbine 1 and returns to the condenser 2. In this system, iron dissolves in the system water due to the corrosion of the drain line pipe system of the high pressure feed-water heaters, and deposits and adheres as iron oxide onto a constructional part in the downstream zone. Therefore, a magnetic attraction means is provided in each of the drain pipes 17A-17C to catch and remove the iron oxide.
