    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus in which suppression of variation in static magnetic field and noise caused by vibration of a gradient magnetic field coil can be realized.
      SOLUTION: In the MRI apparatus of the present invention, reinforcing members are firmly provided so as to enhance the rigidity strength of two connecting tubes connecting upper and lower cryostats, thereby suppression of vibration caused by the gradient magnetic field coil and suppression of variation of static magnetic field can be realized. Further, in the MRI apparatus of the present invention, the reinforcing members are provided in upper and lower portions of the connecting tubes of vacuum vessels, thereby suppression of vibration caused by the gradient magnetic field coil and suppression of variation of static magnetic field can be realized. Further, in the MRI apparatus of the present invention, the reinforcing members are provided in upper and lower parts of the vacuum vessels, thereby suppression of vibration caused by the gradient magnetic field coil and suppression of variation of static magnetic field can be realized.

The gradient magnetic field coil 3 has a main coil for generating the gradient magnetic field 13 and a leakage magnetic field, and a shield coil for suppressing the leakage magnetic field. The closed loop 4 is fit to the gradient magnetic field coil 3, and fixed thereto.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of attenuating a vibration without significantly degrading the rigidity of a structure, thereby suppressing the occurrence of noise.
      SOLUTION: A main coil 9m and a shield coil 9s are mutually arranged at distance of about 50mm-70mm. A sealed bag 24 with powder/particles 25 put therein is arranged between the main coil 9m and the shield coil 9s. When air is discharged from a vacuum chamber 22, the air of the sealed bag 24 is also discharged, so that the powder/particles 25 are compressed. Then, a mold resin is poured into a mold in the chamber 22 and hardened. Accordingly, a gradient magnetic field coil structural body is formed, which includes the compressed powder/particles 25 inside. The compressed powder/particles 25 show a vibration attenuating effect and have the larger rigidity compared with that of the powder before compression. Consequently, the vibration is attenuated so as to suppress the generation of the noise without deteriorating the large rigidity of the structural body.

The acoustic impedance of the sealed gas 6c in the gas bag 6 is smaller than that of the surrounding air of the gas bag 6. The gas bag 6 is distant from the gradient magnetic field coil 4 and the exterior cover 5.
