    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high luminance image display by achieving arrangement of a transparent conductive anode electrode with a high forming temperature in an upper area of a luminance layer, where the heat resistance is low.
      SOLUTION: Organic electroluminescent layers 4a, 4b, 4c as a first organic layer with a low heat resistance are formed on a main substrate as an insulation substrate, and the anode electrode 8 with a high forming temperature is formed on a heat resistant and transparent cover film 7, both of which are then laminated to achieve arrangement of the transparent conductive anode electrode with a high forming temperature on the organic electroluminescent layers 4a, 4b, 4c, where the heat resistance is low. The second organic layer having a function for increasing the luminescence efficiency is formed on the transparent conductive anode electrode 8 before laminating on the organic electroluminescent layer 4a, 4b, 4c, enabling a tight connection between the organic materials.

      SOLUTION: In a structural body of organic EL elements used for the organic EL display device, a layered structure composed of an adhesive hole transporting layer 203 and a first metal layer 200 for protecting sputter damage or for adjusting an injection barrier, another layered structure composed of the first metal layer 200 for protecting the sputter damage or for adjusting the injection barrier and a second metal layer 200 for adjusting bonding, or both of the layered structures are included between a hole transporting layer 113 and a transparent electrode 201. Control of the injection barrier, reduction of damage in film formation, and enhancement of film adhesion can be simultaneously satisfied by using the above structure.
