    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a fuel consumption by eliminating a pump loss through a laminar combustion under a partial load state, and increase the output through a premix combustion at the maximum output. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an ignition source 14 in the vicinity of a fuel injection valve 13, and ignites air-fuel mixture after fuel injection, diffuses generated flame in a cylinder by spray of fuel and executes laminar combustion in a partial load state. When the load is increased to produce soot or the like under the laminar combustion, fuel injection is performed several times. A premixture is formed in the cylinder through the first half injection. The premixture is burned in a short time by jetting a frame produced in the second half injection into a cylinder. By so doing, the device can reduce combustion time, prevent knocking, heighten a compression ratio of an engine, increase thermal efficiency and enhance fuel consumption.       SOLUTION: An atomizer 6 to be installed in a nozzle part 5 of a fuel injection valve 36 for the cylinder injection type engine has a flow passage enlarged part 8 enlarged in flow passage area than diameter of a nozzle hole 4 of the nozzle part 5 to reduce flowing speed of the fuel injected from the nozzle hole 4, a pair of an upper stage and a lower stage slits 9 and 10 having a flow passage area smaller than that of the flow passage enlarged part 8 and more one pair of an upper stage and a lower stage slits 9 and 10. The upper stage and the lower stage slits 9 and 10 of each pair cross each other to overlap with each other to form a fuel injection hole in a crossing part 35 thereof. Pressure of the fuel to be supplied to the fuel injection valve is 5MPa or more, and a heating means is provided to heat the high-pressure fuel.
