    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator brake control device for detecting an abnormality of DC electromagnetic brakes without being affected by electric current distortion and operation positions of brake check switches during brake operation and without adding a specific device.
      SOLUTION: The elevator brake control device is provided with the at least two or more DC electromagnetic brakes 15; the brake check switches 9a, 9b installed in the DC electromagnetic brakes 15, respectively and detecting the switching state of the brakes 15; a main control means 12 for commanding switching of the DC electromagnetic brakes 15; and an electric current detection means 16 for detecting an excitation current flowing in brake coils 8a, 8b of the DC electromagnetic brakes 15. The elevator brake control device is further provided with a storing means 18 for storing an electric current value at normal time detected by the electric current detection means 15 and with a diagnostic means 19 for diagnosing the state of the DC electromagnetic brakes 15 by comparing the electric current value at normal time with that at abnormal time.

The elevator control device includes a control unit 8 for controlling the motor for lifting. The control unit records a variation in torque instruction supplied to the motor, and when the variation exceeds a preset threshold, determines that a long object in the hoistway is bound.

This failure determining means 14 determines the abnormal conditions based on information detected by the door opening-closing part passenger sensor 4 and the landing hall side passenger sensor 5 in a state where the doors 1 and 2 opened to a detecting range 30a of the landing hall side passenger sensor 5 by the door control device 9.
