摘要： A continuous form printer is provided with two rotary encoders, corresponding to different paper feed intervals, and mounted coaxially on a drive shaft. The drive shaft drives a tractor for feeding the paper. The rotary encoders are read by photo-interruptor sensors, and the sensor signals are selected by a selector. The selector is able to select either one of the sensor signals generated by the encoders, or a signal formed by performing an AND operation on the two sensor signals. A controller controls a motor driving the drive shaft according to the selected signal, the selected signal corresponding to a chosen feeding interval. The controller is further able to precisely adjust the leading edge of the paper to a predetermined position based on the selected sensor signal, a known paper length, and a paper top sensor.

摘要： An electrophotographic printer is capable of using a plurality of types of continuous form recording media having different page lengths, respectively. In the printer, a photoconductive member is charged and exposed to light carrying image data to form a latent image. In operation, one of the plurality of types of recording media is selected, and a portion of the photoconductive member corresponding to a page of the selected one of the plurality of types of recording media is exposed to light. In another embodiment, a laser beam printer utilizes a continuous-form recording sheet, wherein two control members are provided for, respectively, controlling the recording sheet so as to be discharged from the printing device after a printing operation, and for controlling the recording sheet so as to be located at a position from which a printing operation is restarted. Thus, recording sheets are not wasted when printer output is started.

The vessel is movably fitted in the main apparatus, and one end of a movable member, which is pivoted, is engaged with the vessel. The other end of the movable member is located between first and second positions when the vessel is not installed and when the vessel is accommodating a predetermined amount of substances therein. It is determined whether the other end of the movable member is located in a predetermined range. An error condition of the vessel is detected when the other end of the movable member is located at a position other than in the predetermined range.

摘要： A printer, for printing on continuous recording paper, includes tractors disposed in the recording paper feed path of the printer, with each of the tractors circumferentially travelling in synchronism with movement of the continuous recording paper when the tractors engage feed holes of the continuous paper. When no printing operation is performed, travel of the tractors can be prevented by operation of an electromagnetic clutch, or a combination of one way clutches. Further, the printer uses an electrophotographic method wherein when no printing operation is performed, a transfer charger or fixing roller can be retracted from an operational position. A lever, associated with movement of the transfer charge or fixing roller, is pressed against and locked with the pulley fixed to the rotating shaft of each of the tractors to thereby prohibit the movement of the tractor. Further, a swingable arm can be provided having an engaging projection capable of being locked with the feed holes of the continuous recording paper. The swingable arm is swung in association with the movement of the transfer charger or fixing roller, which can be retracted from the operational position when no printing operation is performed. Thus, the engaging projection is engaged with the feed hole of the continuous recording paper to thereby regulate the movement of the continuous recording paper.

摘要： Provided is a pharmaceutical composition, including a drug and a collagen, in which the composition is satisfactory in handleability and has sustained-release property. The sustained-release pharmaceutical composition includes: a drug; a collagen; and at least one kind of sugar selected from monosaccharides, disaccharides, trisaccharides, and tetrasaccharides. The inventors of the present invention have found that the in vivo administration of a collagen solution containing a sugar results in the gelation of a collagen. Based on this finding, the inventors have found that a composition containing a drug, a collagen, and a sugar can control the release rate of the drug, and such composition can be used as a sustained-release pharmaceutical composition.
