    • The present invention is directed to a technique which comprises the steps of stopping the rotation of a treating drum in a deodorizing step, introducing the outside air into a treating tank through an upper opening provided in the upper portion of the treating tank or the upper portion of a recovery air duct, simultaneously exhausting a solvent gas from the treating tank through a lower opening provided in the lower portion of the treating tank or a button trap portion so slowly as not to agitate the solvent gas in the treating tank by an exhaust means connected to a solvent recovery device in the condition that the treating drum is stopped, in order to replace the solvent gas in the treating tank with the outside air, and reusing the solvent gas through the solvent recovery device once or several times. In addition, the present invention is further directed to an improvement of the above-mentioned technique. According to the above-mentioned technique of the present invention, a gas throughput which is required to recover a certain amount of the solvent in the treating tank can be noticeably miniaturized and hence it can be manufactured at a lower cost, as compared with conventional ones, and air pollution and the breakage of ozone layer can be prevented. Moreover, the solvent can be saved owing to its recovery and reuse, and occupation space for the solvent recovery device can be also saved.

    • The present invention relates to a dry cleaning method in which tanks for exclusively receiving at least two kinds of solvents which are soluble in each other are provided. One treating tank and a fractionating device for recovering the two or more kinds of solvents by fractonal distillation are provided. Exclusive filters for the respective solvents are provided through the use of, a common filter or a multi-filter device composed of both the filters which is disposed between the tanks and the treating tank. The two or more kinds of solvents are used independently so that washing is carried out. Further, the present disclosure relates to a dry cleaning method in which in a dry cleaner using organic solvents such as perchloroethylene, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, turpentine (oil series) and the like, the previously use solvent is replaced with another solvent which is soluble therein and has a lower boiling point, for exmple, Flon 113 or 11, during washing or immediately before drying in order to thereby shorten a drying period of time. According to this disclosure, the most proper washing method can be chosen for the greater part of materials, processings and forms of clothes, and troubles due to the wasing of the clothes can be reduced remarkably. Further, the disclosed apparatus and method can advantageously save occupation space, equipment cost, volume of facilities, maintenace cost and the like. In addition thereto, a drying time can be reduced by half.

    • A product gas generated through the decomposition reaction of organohalogen compounds and steam is neutralized with an alkali solution and is left to stand for a predetermined period of time, while a neutralization product generated in this neutralization reaction is caused to precipitate in the alkali solution and is then removed. In order to remove the neutralization product completely, a takeout tube 71 is disposed to plunge into a waste gas processing tank 41 and a disk-shaped plate 71a is fastened at the distal end of the takeout tube 71 in parallel to the bottom surface of the waste gas processing tank 41, while the takeout tube 71 opens in the lower surface of the plate 71a at the center thereof. Thus the solid-liquid separation efficiency of the neutralization product and the alkali solution is improved and the quantity of alkali solution remaining in the neutralization product that is disposed of as waste is decreased.
