    • An automatic focusing camera system has a lens barrel with a focusing optical system, and a camera body. A focus detecting device in the camera body outputs a focus detecting signal. A calculating device in the camera body calculates driving information of the focusing optical system based upon the focus detecting signal. A driving device in the lens barrel has a driving power source and a transmission member for transmitting driving power to the focusing optical system to drive it based upon the driving information. First and second signal generators in the lens barrel, at respective final and initial stages of the transmission member, generate first and second driving signals in response to driving of the focusing optical system. A driving control device in the lens barrel controls position of the focusing optical system based upon the first driving signal and the driving information, and controls velocity of the driving power source based upon the second driving signal.

    • An image processor which processes an image signal using a DSP (digital signal processor), wherein a shading correction process, a logarithmic transformation process, an edge emphasizing process, a density adjustment process and a binarization process of the like are performed utilizing the DSP and a look-up table outside the DSP. An image signal is input in an order of raster scanning, and each pixel data of the image signal is set to an input register of the DSP. Calculations necessary for shading correction are performed in parallel on the pixel data by a plurality of ALUs in the DSP, and a logarithmic transformation is performed on the calculation results utilizing the look-up table. Further, the logarithmically-transformed signal is input to the DSP and set to the input register for an edge emphasizing process which is performed by the plurality of ALUs. The result is again input to the look-up table for a density adjustment process and input to the DSP for binarization and subsequent output.

    • An image input device having an original exposing portion and an image sensor portion disposed and an image sensor portion disposed on a common insulating substrate. The original exposing portion is formed by one or more light-emitting elements.
