    • A film applying apparatus includes a presser roll reciprocally movable toward and away from the leading end portion of a tacking member to force an adhesive tape against a cover film of the laminated film while the laminated film is held by suction on a surface at the leading end portion of the tacking member. The surface of the tacking member includes a first and a second beveled surface. When the presser roll is advanced by a presser roll actuating device, it rolls on from the first beveled surface to a leading end of the second beveled surface during which time the adhesive tape is firmly adhered to the cover film. Then the presser roll is retracted and, at the same time, the adhesive tape is pulled by an adhesive-tape pullback device in a direction away from the tacking member whereupon the cover film adhered to the adhesive tape is separated from the laminated film. After the tacking is completed, a film tensioning device is driven to pull the laminated film backward. In this instance, since a slackening device is activated to slack the adhesive tape and the cover film adhered thereto, the laminated film can be readily pulled backward.

    • Photosensitive material includes a support, and a photosensitive layer overlaid thereon and containing resin. A photosensitive layer laminator transfers the photosensitive layer from the photosensitive material to a glass substrate. In the photosensitive layer laminator, heat/pressure rollers apply the photosensitive layer to a transfer region on the substrate with heat and pressure. A photosensitive material feeder transports first and second photosensitive materials to the substrate set at the heat/pressure rollers. The first and second photosensitive materials have a width smaller than a width of the transfer region, and are disposed to extend along one another. Furthermore, a tension adjuster adjusts tension applied to the first and second photosensitive materials in an upstream direction from the heat/pressure rollers.

    • A flexible solar cell module that includes a flexible insulating substrate; a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements formed on the substrate, each including a rear electrode layer, a photoelectric conversion layer, and a transparent electrode layer; an organic insulating protection film covering each photoelectric conversion element such that light transparency for each photoelectric conversion element is secured; and an inorganic insulating protection film provided on each transparent electrode layer such that light transparency on a light receiving side of each photoelectric conversion element is secured. The inorganic insulating protection film is formed to have a layer structure that includes a silicon oxynitride layer as the outermost layer of the structure. This enables improvement of the weather resistance and water vapor barrier properties and improvement of the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the solar cell module to be achieved at a low cost.
