    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system of a plurality of air sources to inflate the respective bladders in a patient support apparatus, such as a mattress. SOLUTION: A first air source 22 provides air to one or more main support bladders 12 and a second air source 24 provides air to one or more microclimate bladders when a control system of the patient support apparatus 10 operates according to a first mode of operation. The first and second air sources 22, 24 provide air to turn bladders 14, 16 when the control system operates according to a second mode of operation. In another embodiment, a first air source provides air to at least one main support bladder and to at least one microclimate bladder.
