    • A connector is provided in which a connector member is secured to a case and a shielding effect can be maintained even if a mating plug-type connector to be engaged therewith has a flat insulating plate with connecting portions on both of its faces, forming mutually parallel arrays of pluralities of upper terminals and lower terminals, which are strips of conductive segments. The connector member and the case are included. The connector member includes an inner shield cover that includes engaging portions having press-fractured faces, formed in its rear end. The case has resin springs which are disposed inside the tube-shaped portion of the case and extend toward the back and fixing stops which are disposed at free ends of the resin springs and increase in thickness inward from back to front.

    • The present invention provides a shield case having electrical conductivity and being mountable on a circuit board. The shield case includes a first surface adapted to be placed on the circuit board and a second surface provided continuously with the first surface and extending at an angle or at a right angle with respect to the first surface. A first recess of generally U-shape is provided in a boundary area of the first surface with the second surface and including first and second end portions. A pair of second recesses is provided in a boundary area of the second surface with the first surface and communicating with the first and second end portions of the first recess. The shield case also includes a pad, being defined by the first and second recesses and connectable by soldering to an electrode of the circuit board.

    • To provide a technique for informing the user of the incoming to a mobile phone through an external device such as a television, making use of an interface standardly equipped in the external device even when the power of the external device is off. The mobile phone includes a signal producing section for producing an incoming information signal containing information for informing the user of the incoming to the mobile phone in conformity to the HDMI standards when at least one of voice communication and data communication is received; and an HDMI communication section for outputting the incoming information signal to the external device to communicate with the external device capable of performing signal transmission conformed to the HDMI standards through a signal transmission medium conformed to the HDMI standards.

    • When a multipolar plug and a counter connector are fitted to each other, there is a possibility that a seam joint of a shell of the multipolar plug may coincide with that of a shell the counter connector, and high-frequency noises may leak through gaps of the coincident seam joints. The invention has been conducted in view of the problem, and provides a multipolar plug which can improve the EMI characteristics of a multipolar connector. According to the invention, when the multipolar plug 2 and the counter connector 4 are fitted to each other, the seam joint 9a of the shell 9 of the multipolar plug 2 is shifted from a seam joint 17a of a shell 17 of the counter connector 4.
