摘要： A display device with a touch pad function is provided which reduces the elements required to form a photo sensor while still accurately detecting input coordinate positions. The display device includes a display part on which a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix array, a plurality of photo detection circuits which are arranged in a matrix array in the inside of the display part, wherein each photo detection circuit of the plurality of photo detection circuits includes: a photo sensor which converts an incident light into a optical current corresponding to intensity of the incident light, an integral capacitance which integrates the optical current converted by the photo sensor, and a comparator to which a voltage of the integral capacitance is inputted, and the comparator includes a transistor of an open drain output type with a grounded source.

摘要： A display device which incorporates a touch panel function therein can reduce the number of elements which constitute a photo sensor circuit and can accurately detect an input coordinate position without requiring a particular coordinate arithmetic circuit. Each basic circuit of the shift register circuit includes: a first transistor of a second conductivity type having a first electrode to which a second supply voltage is applied; a second transistor of the second conductivity type having a first electrode connected to a second electrode of the first transistor and a second electrode connected to an output node; a third transistor of a first conductivity type having a first electrode to which a first supply voltage is applied and a second electrode connected to the output node directly or through another transistor, the first conductivity type being different from the second conductivity type; and a fourth transistor of the first conductivity type having a first electrode to which the first supply voltage is applied and a second electrode connected to the second electrode of the third transistor, wherein a clock signal is supplied to a control electrode of the first transistor, a set signal is supplied to a control electrode of the second transistor, a clear signal is supplied to a control electrode of the third transistor, a reset signal is supplied to a control electrode of the fourth transistor, and a voltage of the output node is an output of a scanning circuit.

摘要： The present invention provides a display device which includes a drive circuit having a CMOS shift register circuit constituted of a simple CMOS circuit. A drive circuit includes a shift register circuit, and the shift register circuit includes n(n≧2) pieces of basic circuits which are connected vertically in multiple stages.
