摘要： The invention relates to a process for the preparation of pigment paste resins for cathodically depositable coating compositions, wherein diepoxide compounds which contain polyoxyalkylene structures and alkyl and/or alkylene and/or hydroxyalkyl radicals having more than 3 carbon atoms are first reacted to form epoxy resin/amine adducts and final products with oxazolidine structures are obtained by a partial or complete reaction of secondary amino groups with formaldehyde.

The carbamate compounds are reaction products of cyclic organic carbonates with aliphatic monoamines and/or diamines and/or triamines and/or tetraamines and/or alkanolamines, all such amines having primary and/or secondary amino groups. The crosslinking components produced according to the invention, in combination with resin components carrying hydroxyl groups and/or primary or secondary amino groups, preferably with those based on epoxide/amine adducts or containing similar molecular units, give binders which can be baked at temperatures of 140.degree. C. and higher.

摘要： Preparation of pigment paste resins for cathodically depositable coating compositions based on epoxy resin-amine adducts obtained from unmodified or modified epoxy resins, which by partial or complete reaction of secondary amino groups with formaldehyde contain oxazolidine structures; whose tertiary amino groups introduced via primary-tertiary diamines are quaternized to at least 20 mol % using an organic acid and a monoglycidyl compound and which in a solution adjusted with water to a correct application viscosity contain a total of 80 to 100 millimoles of acid per 100 g of solid resin are described. The pigment pastes possess, both in concentrated and dilute form, a stability which meets practical requirements and, because of their rheology, are readily processed to ensure formation of defect-free films both during deposition and crosslinking by stoving. The applied films have good properties.

摘要： This invention relates to a process for the preparation of self-crosslinking cationic paint binders which can be diluted with water after protonation and are based on modified aminoalkylation products of phenols; to the binders prepared by this process and to their use for formulating water-dilutable paints, in particular electrodeposition paints which can be deposited cathodically. The process is characterized in that an aminoalkylation product of a phenol containing at least one secondary amino group is reacted with epoxide compounds, and after temperature treatment, the reaction product is reacted with partly blocked isocyanate compounds. The process permits the use of blocking agents which allow stoving temperatures in the range of 130 to 150.degree. C.

摘要： A process for the preparation of water-dilutable binders for cathodically depositable electrodeposition paints wherein 5 to 60 mol % of the epoxy groups of a resinous compound having at least two 1,2-epoxy groups per molecule are reacted with disecondary diamines obtained by the reaction of polypropylene glycol diglycidylethers or polypropylene glycol diacrylates with compounds containing a primary amino group is described. The binders prepared in accordance with the invention are suitable, in particular, for formulating electrodeposition paints, to provide films having a greater layer thickness under normal deposition conditions.

摘要： Auto-crosslinkable, cathodically depositable aqueous coating compositions which are the reaction product of 2 moles of a diepoxide, 1 mole of a secondary-secondary or primary-tertiary diamine, 0-1 moles of a saturated and/or unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, and 2-1 moles of a secondary amine with optional subsequent partial or total reaction of the hydroxy groups of the reaction product with an alpha,beta-unsaturated monoisocyanate. The binders are rendered water-soluble by neutralization with inorganic and/or organic acids. The binders are capable of being neutralized with low levels of neutralizing acids to provide a component of a coating composition which will cure at low temperatures to give films having excellent surface qualities.

摘要： Auto-crosslinking, cathodically depositable binders which are water-dilutable upon neutralization comprising the reaction product of:(A) 2 moles of a polyepoxy compound with from 2 to 10 epoxy groups per molecule and an epoxy equivalent of from 100 to 1000;(B) 0.1 to 2.0 moles of a diamine, the nitrogen atoms being secondary-secondary or primary-tertiary;(C) from 1 to 10 moles of an alpha,beta-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid; and(D) from 0.5 to 10 moles of dialkanol amine and/or of a monoalkanol monoalkyl amine,whereby the weight ratios of the components are chosen in order that the sum of the epoxy-reactive hydrogen atoms of components (B) through (D) substantially correspond to the number of epoxy groups of component (A), and the binder contains from 0.5 to 2.5 basic nitrogen atoms and from 0.5 to 2.5 polymerizable double bonds per 1000 molecular weight units. The binders upon heating do not decompose and when employed in coating compositions provide good electrochemical characteristics and good surface qualities.
