C., from monohydric alcohols of natural and/or synthetic origin with at least 4 carbon atoms, preferably at least 6 carbon atoms in the alcohol radicals, as the oil phase, or a constituent of the oil phase of invert drilling fluids which exist as W/O-emulsions, have a dispersed aqueous phase and ideally also have further usual additives in the continuous oil phase, which is fluid and pumpable in the temperature range of 0.degree. to 5.degree. C., and which are suitable for the environment-friendly development of, e.g., petroleum and natural gas deposits. Drilling fluids of the above type are also described which are characterized in that they contain as the continuous oil phase, or dissolved in ecologically-acceptable water-insoluble oils, an additive of at least largely water-insoluble ethers from monohydric alcohols, the oil phase in each case being fluid and pumpable in the temperature range of 0.degree. to 5.degree. C. and having flash points above 80.degree. C.

摘要： To improve a cropping system by obtaining coverage of a wide range of contents for smaller sized displays of handheld devices, a method starts from a metadata aggregation and corresponding video, e.g. in post-production, program exchange and archiving, wherein (a) video is passed to a video analysis to deliver video, e.g. by use of motion detection, morphology filters, edge detection, etc., (b) separated video and metadata are combined to extract important features in a context wherein important information from the metadata is categorized and used to initialize a dynamically fitted chain of feature extraction steps adapted to the delivered video content, (c) extracted important features are combined to define regions of interest (ROI) which are searched in consecutive video frames by object tracking, the object tracking identifies a new position and deformation of each initialized ROI in consecutive video frames and returns this information to the feature extraction thereby obtaining a permanent communication between the feature extraction and the object tracking, (d) one or plural ROIs are extracted and input video frame by video frame into a cropping step (e); based on weighting information a well composed image part is cropped by classifying the supplied ROIs by importance, and (f) the cropped image area(s) are scaled to the desired small screen size.

The stereo audio signals are coded into sub(band) signals. To identify whether corresponding sub(band) signals have been processed or not, a mode indicator control signal, indicating whether a corresponding sub signal of the at least two signal components have or have not been processed into a composite sub-signal, is also being recorded on the record carrier.

摘要： The invention relates to an exhaust-gas muffler on an internal combustion engine in a motor chain saw. The exhaust-gas muffler includes a housing (1) which is assembled of two housing shells (2, 3). The one housing shell (2) has an exhaust-gas inlet (4) and the other housing shell (3) has an exhaust-gas outlet (5). An inner wall (8) as well as a catalytic converting element (7) are provided in the inner space (6) of the muffler housing (1). The catalytic converting element (7) is mounted between the exhaust-gas inlet (4) and the exhaust-gas outlet (5). In order to ensure an adequate catalytic converting treatment of the exhaust gas at low gas counterpressure, it is provided to divide the entering exhaust-gas flow (10) and to conduct at least one of these component flows (23) in contact with the catalytic converting element (7). The component flows (22, 23) are brought together and mixed with other before exiting from the muffler housing (1).

摘要： Antimicrobial mixtures containing specific antimicrobial diols, e.g. 1,2-dodecanediol, and specific aromatic alcohols, e.g. phenylethyl alcohol or hydrocinnamic alcohol, are provided. Such mixtures with a weight ratio of diol to aromatic alcohol of 9:1 to 1:9 have been found to exhibit a synergistic effect, i.e. a high antimicrobial activity which cannot be explained by an additive effect of the very low-activity components. Such mixtures are useful in the disinfection of hard surfaces, in the production of disinfectant cleaning preparations and in the preservation of water-based preparations of microbially degradable substances.
