    • Disclosed is a vibration damper with a damping valve having a reversing valve. The reversing valve has valve body having at least one passage opening with a cross section therein; a valve plate at least partially covering the passage opening and a reversing plate having at least one meandering shaped recess in the vicinity of the cover surface, and a circumferential section, wherein the recess has a starting point and an end point which bound the circumferential section the reversing plate is adapted to control the cross section of the passage opening as a function of flow direction. The valve includes a spring section extending in a circumferential direction and having at least one cover surface and a clamping surface which prestresses the reversing plate outside of the spring section and clamping surface against the reversing valve. The cover surface is aligned with the passage opening, and the circumferential section bounds the spring section.

    • A piston ring includes a lateral surface which covers a circumferential surface of a piston and support segments with retaining surfaces which engage with the top and bottom of the piston. A piston ring joint allows the piston ring to be elastically deformed in the radial direction and is provided with a tongue at one end of the lateral surface, which tongue engages in an opening in the other end of the lateral surface. The tongue is designed with retaining segments which extend in the circumferential direction and continue as extensions of the support segments. The retaining segments engage supportively with the top and bottom of the piston. The opening is provided with carrier segments at least in certain areas of the circumference of the piston ring extensions of the support segments and holding the ends of the piston ring in place axially with respect to the piston, the carrier segments being supported in the axial direction of the piston on the retaining segments. The piston ring joint of the piston ring has at least one sealing surface between the ends of the piston ring.

    • A method for manufacturing a piston, wherein the piston includes a piston body with through-channels for fluid which are covered by valve disks on supporting bodies with valve support surfaces. The piston body is constructed in one piece in a disk-shaped manner by press stamping. Starting from a base body of the piston, the raised areas of the piston body on one side of the piston are formed as depressions on the axially opposite side. The piston has at least one support for the valve disks whose axial height is adapted to the height of the support surfaces. The support on both sides of the piston is stamped from the base body of the piston and the valve support surfaces and the support are machined in the same manufacturing step on a common plane.

    • A sheet-metal piston rod guide for a piston-cylinder unit in which a piston rod is axially movable, includes a slide bush which is centered by a guide sleeve which adjoins a closure ring which delimits the working chamber and in turn merges into an axial casing. The axial casing centers the entire piston rod guide. A piston rod seal surrounds the piston rod and seals the working chamber. The guide sleeve is supported in the axial and radial directions against a bearing ring which bears the piston rod seal and extends in the radial direction. The bearing ring has a radial support surface with respect to the casing so that the casing, the closure ring, the guide sleeve, and the bearing ring form a force bearing arrangement which is closed with regard to the bearing of forces.
