    • A method for finding a dip angle in a tilt-compensated electronic compass. The method finds a dip angle suitable for current environments to calculate a more accurate azimuth angle when measuring an azimuth angle of the tilt-compensated electronic compass. The method for finding an optimal dip angle in a prescribed environment using an electronic compass containing a two-axis geomagnetic sensor includes the steps of: a) setting a predetermined azimuth angle indicative of a horizontal status of a geomagnetic sensor to a reference azimuth angle; b) if the electronic compass is slightly tilted on the basis of the reference azimuth angle, stepwise-increasing a dip angle within a predetermined dip angle search range, and calculating azimuth angles associated with individual dip angles; c) comparing the calculated azimuth angles with the prescribed reference azimuth angle, and finding one azimuth angle, which is the closest to the reference azimuth angle, from among the calculated azimuth angles; and d) setting the dip angle applied to the found azimuth angle to a specific dip angle associated with a corresponding azimuth angle, such that a more accurate azimuth angle can be detected by the tilt-compensated electronic compass containing a two-axis geomagnetic sensor on the basis of the calculated dip angle.

    • The present general inventive concept relates to a method of compensating tilt using a two-axis geomagnetic sensor and an acceleration sensor and an apparatus. Using the principle where a geomagnetic field value measured in a state where one axis of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor is set up vertically is identical to a Z-axis geomagnetic field value, the Z-axis geomagnetic field value can be evaluated by using two axes of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor. Accordingly, an azimuth angle can be easily calculated, so that the azimuth angle changed by tilt can be compensated. Therefore, there is an effect that a constant azimuth can be always output even though tilt occurs. In addition, when a module of the two-axis geomagnetic sensor and the acceleration sensor is used in a mobile equipment, the two-axis geomagnetic sensor can automatically measure geomagnetic field values of three axes by a simple motion where a user vertically sets up or rotates up and down the mobile equipment. Therefore, there is an effect that a constant azimuth angle can be always output by compensating the azimuth angle changed by tilt.

    • A refrigerator is disclosed wherein an ion generator is arranged in a cold air duct which supplies cold air to a storage compartment, and a desired portion of the cold air duct is treated for anti-static. The ions from the ion generator are used for the purpose of sterilization and deodorization and are effectively discharged into the storage compartment. The anti-static-treatment of the cold air duct prevents the ions generated from the ion generator from being lost due to static in the cold air duct. The anti-static treatment is carried out by coating polyethylene on a portion of the cold air duct. The cold air duct includes a plurality of uniformly spaced cold air outlets, whereby the ions generated from the ion generator are uniformly distributed into the overall portion of the storage compartment through the cold air outlets.
