摘要： The inventors have researched a problem associated with known molding systems that inadvertently manufacture bad-quality molded articles or parts. After much study, the inventors believe they have arrived at an understanding of the problem and its solution, which are stated below, and the inventors believe this understanding is not known to the public. Shooting pots are used in the injection molding machinery to generate pressure required to fill mold cavities with molten plastic. A piston displaces some volume of the molten plastic, increasing the pressure and forcing resin into one or a number of mold cavities. Shooting pots do not generally mix the incoming melt stream very well. A homogenous melt stream entering a mold assembly is very important for both part quality and cycle time.
