摘要： Technology for device discovery using a device-to-device (D2D) sounding reference signal (SRS) and device discovery using D2D SRS in a channel measurement group (CMG) is disclosed. In an example, a user equipment (UE) configured for device discovery via a node using the D2D SRS can include a transceiver module. The transceiver module can send a radio resource control (RRC) device discovery request to a node, scan D2D SRS subframes of proximity UEs using D2D SRS triggering, and send feedback to the node of detected D2D SRS information of the proximity UEs. The proximity UE can be located within a same cell as the UE.

摘要： Technology for performing a handover in a heterogeneous wireless network (HetNet) is disclosed. One method comprises receiving, at an anchor serving cell in the HetNet, channel measurement reports made by a user equipment (UE) for a plurality of cells. A transmission point change request can be sent, based on the channel measurements for the UE, from the anchor serving cell to a target transmission point. The target transmission point is located in one of the plurality of cells. A transmission point change indicator is sent from the anchor cell to the UE to indicate a change in TP with which the UE will communicate via an air interface, while maintaining a connection to the anchor serving cell.

One method comprises applying discontinuous reception (DRX) to a user equipment (UE) having a plurality of radio transceivers. The DRX can include a long DRX cycle for the UE. One of a 2 milliseconds (ms), 5 ms, and 8 ms cycle start offset period may be provided for the long DRX cycle to reduce coexistence interference between the plurality of radio transceivers in the UE. The cycle start offset period is selected to provide at least one Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process reservation pattern to reduce the coexistence interference between the plurality of radio transceivers in the UE.

A method involves inserting in at least one zone of a first type a two dimensional array of data and pilot symbols in time and frequency and inserting in at least one zone of a second type a two dimensional array of data and pilot symbols in time and frequency. In some implementations the zone of the first type comprises common pilot symbols that can be detected by all receivers receiving the OFDM frame. In some implementations the zone of the second type comprises dedicated pilot symbols that are only detectable by a receiver that is aware of pre-processing used to encode the dedicated pilot symbols.

摘要： Technology for a user equipment (UE) to communicate in a multiple radio access technology (multi-RAT) heterogeneous network (HetNet) is described. A radio-link-selection hysteresis threshold can be determined at the UE for a radio link between the UE and a node in the multi-RAT HetNet. A reliability value of a throughput estimate can be measured for the radio link in the multi-RAT HetNet. The radio-link-selection hysteresis threshold can be adjusted at the UE based on the reliability value to increase network stability in the multi-RAT HetNet.
