摘要： A system and method for aggregating subscriber information at a delivery edge is disclosed. The method comprises interfacing a user profile aggregation device (UPAD) at a subscriber location with at least one subscriber database in each of a wired network core and a wireless network core. The wired network core and the wireless network core are operated by a Multi-System network Operator. Profile information can be aggregated at the UPAD about the subscriber from at least one database in the wired network core and the wireless network core. The subscriber's aggregated profile information can be communicated to the MSO.

摘要： A machine type communication interworking function (MTC-IWF) is configured to receive from a service capability exposure function (SCEF), services capability server (SCS), or a third-party application server (AS), application communication pattern information defined by an MTC application and representing characteristics of machine-to-machine (M2M) communications expected from a user equipment (UE) machine type communication (MTC) device. The MTC-IWF being configured to communicate the information to a mobility management entity (MME) that thereby provides core network (CN) originated assistance to an evolved universal terrestrial radio access network node B (eNB). Disclosed are embodiments for providing the information in the form of Diameter-based messages communicated through Tsp, T5, and other interfaces, or through an application programming interface (API) exposed by the SCEF, SCS, or MTC-IWF.

摘要： Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a deterministic device behavior system detects if a device is entering a sensitive location. The sensitive location may be a movie theater, hospital, law enforcement agency, public restroom or locker room, meeting room, factory, or similar location. If the device enters the sensitive location, the device is triggered to query a location database to obtain one or more policies related to deterministic behavior. The policies are transmitted to the device to execute the deterministic behavior while the device is in the sensitive location. The deterministic behavior may include disabling one or more modules of the device such as the camera, microphone, speaker, annunciator, vibrator, and so on, where the use of such modules may be inappropriate or prohibited in the sensitive location. The policies may be implemented manually by the user or automatically by the device.

In some cases, a network can specify an extended timer used for a machine to machine (M2M) type device to communicate with a network. The extended timer can be transmitted in connection with an attachment acceptance message, Location Updating Accept message, Tracking Area Update Accept, or Routing Area Update Accept message. In some cases, a timer can be adjusted using a multiplier in order to increase a period at which communications with the network occur. The network can transmit an indication to change a timer by multiplying the timer with the multiplier.
