    • PURPOSE:To secure a favorable air-fuel ratio at all operating ranges, by setting up a slide valve and a butterfly throttle valve, as a variable Venturi, in a suction passage in turn, while opening a low-speed system fuel nozzle in and around the throttle valve, a main fuel nozzle just under the slide valve and a primary duel nozzle in position between both these valves, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In time of low-load operation that makes a butterfly throttle valve 7 low-opening, a quantity of fuel commensurate to opening of the throttle valve 7 is discharge out of a low-speed system fuel nozzle 19, and fuel control is performed in a highly accurate manner. Next, in order to operate an engine at medium- and high- loads, when opening of a slide valve 6 is set to the medium-and high-opening, suction pressure on a main fuel nozzle is constolled according to load by means of a variable Venturi function whereby a fuel quantity suitable for these medium- and high-loads is discharged out of the main fuel nozzle 10. Likewise, in time of transition from low- load to medium- and high-load, since suction pressure between the throttle valve 7 and the slide valve 6 grows larger than that at the downstream side of the slide valve 6, such a quantity of fuel as making up for a portion of shortage in the fuel discharge out of the main fuel nozzle 10 is made to be discharge from a low- and medium-system primary fuel nozzle 28.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of rust and improve durability by arranging an interlocking mechanism for the both throttle valves of a carburetor having a butterfly throttle valve on the downstream of a slidable type throttle valve into an accommodation chamber on the side part of the carburetor, thus preventing the direct exposure of the interlocking mechanism to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A butterfly throttle valve 7 is installed on the downstream of a slidable throttle valve 6 having a fuel metering needle 34 at the lower edge, and each throttle valve is interlocked with a shaft 43 through the members 45, 46, and 44 of the slidable throttle valve 6 and interlocked with the shaft of the butterfly throttle valve 7 through a lever and a rod. The shaft 39 of the butterfly throttle valve 7 is turned through a lever by a wire from outside. Since the interlocking mechanism for the above-described both throttle valves 6 and 7 is installed into a sealed part forming a chamber on the side part of the carburetor, direct exposure of the interlocking mechanism to the outside is prevented, and the formation of rust can be prevented, and durability is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the construction by mutually connecting several carburetors having separate suction passages leading to each cylinder block, in such a way that the center lines of said suction passages almost agree with the bisector of the banking angle in a motor-cycle, etc. CONSTITUTION:On the body frame F of a motor-cycle, the first and the second cylinder blocks CB1, CB2 which are directed forward, and the third cylinder block CB3, positioned between said two cylinders and directed upward, are arranged in a V-form at a banking angle of 90 deg.. Carburetors C1 to C3, separately provided with suction passages which are connected to the suction port of each cylinder block, are mutually connected with their suction passages being nearly in agreement with the bisector of the banking angle, and are commonly connected to an air cleaner 6. Thereby the construction of connecting carburetors can be simplified, enabling connecting with the same part and reducing the number of parts, while eliminating the need for greatly curving the connecting pipe between the air cleaner and suction passages, reducing its length, and thus, improving the accelerating response.

    • PURPOSE:To improve accelerating response and reduce the amount of projection of a throttle valve guide cylinder by installing said throttle valve guide cylinder so as to make a sharp angle with the upper course side of a suction passage, in a sliding throttle valve type carburetor of a motor-cycle, etc. CONSTITUTION:A sliding throttle valve guide cylinder 13 is installed at a sharp angle beta with the upper course side of a suction flow of a suction passage 14, while the crossing angle alpha between the oil surface l on the upper course side of the sliding throttle valve 12 provided in a float chamber 15, and the sliding throttle valve 12, is made larger than said sharp angle enabling the suction passage 14 to be inclinedly installed. Furthermore, the crossing angle between the oil surface l and the sliding throttle valve 12, alpha+beta, is made an obtuse angle above 90 deg., to advantageously install the valve seat of a float valve 17, making the valve compact. The direction of the operating line of the operating arm 53 of the sliding throttle valve 12 is made about the half of the crossing angle alpha. Thereby the interference between the suction passage 14 and the sliding throttle valve 12, and between the suction passage 14 and the float chamber 15 can be removed without being extended into the suction passage 14, maintaining the suction characteristics and obtaining an accelerating response.

    • PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of a carburetor with a secondary mixture tube penetrating into an intake pipe at the downstream of a throttle valve by making the secondary mixture tube as a mere secondary air tube so that the amount of bleed air influx into low speed fuel can be regulated.
      CONSTITUTION: Under the operational condition other than decompression, a negative pressure reaction valve 23 is closed and a first and a second control valves 34 and 14 are closed and opened respectively. Therefore, while the engine is running at low or medium speed, both a first and a second tubes 11a and 11b are in a continuity status. The air flux in an air bleed tube 11 is regulated in rather excessive quantity with air jets 12a and 12b, and the mixture is rarefield comparatively. Besides, when the engine is turned down abruptly closing down all the throttle valves 4, the negative pressure reaction valve 23 is opened leading the negative pressure to negative pressure reactors 15 and 35, and the control valves 34 and 14 are losed and opened respectively. This allows the secondary air to be supplied to an intake pipe 1 located at the downstream of the throttle valves 4 through an air tube 31 and augmented fuel is ejected from low speed nozzles 5 and 6.
