    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely recognize a static object on the road and to prevent the operation control of an actuator from becoming unnecessary by judging an object to be the static object when a value based on the hourly change of the position of the detected object is smaller than a threshold. SOLUTION: The speed of the object detected in an object detection unit is compared with the threshold in the comparator 22 of a static object judgement means 15. When object speed becomes smaller than the threshold, the object is judged to be the static object. It is avoided that the object is decided to be a target and the unnecessary operation control of both actuators is avoided. A self-vehicle speed rate K becoming small in accordance with lapse time from the viewing start of the object is multiplied by self-vehicle speed V and the threshold proportional to self-vehicle speed V is obtained. When self-vehicle speed V is high, the threshold is set to be comparatively high. When self-vehicle speed V is comparatively low, the threshold is set to be comparatively low. The threshold corresponding to the travel state of the self-vehicle can be set.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling control system for a vehicle capable of by enabling traveling control even during a clutch pedal operation, and improving traveling performance.
      SOLUTION: This traveling control system for the vehicle includes: a manual shifting device for transmitting an output of an internal combustion engine mounted on the vehicle; a shift position detector for detecting a shift position thereof; a clutch pedal operation detector for detecting a clutch pedal operation operated by a driver; a rotational speed detector for detecting a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine; a traveling speed detector for detecting the traveling speed for the vehicle; a vehicle target speed setter for setting the vehicle target speed; and an acceleration and deceleration device for accelerating and decelerating the vehicle speed based on its output. Furthermore, a target rotational speed calculator for calculating the target rotational speed of the internal combustion engine based on the detected shift position and the traveling speed, and a rotational speed controller for controlling the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine based on the target rotational speed when the pedal operation operated by the driver is detected during the traveling control operated by the traveling control system.
