    • PURPOSE:To perform quick and exact positioning by placing one of end faces parallel with each other on horizontal reference seats, shifting a shift rod, expanding a collet in the hole of the small end, and pressing a cap to a mating face and the side face of the large end to a reference surface. CONSTITUTION:When one of the end faces W5 of a split type connecting rod W is placed on the reference seats 41 and 42 of a jig base 40, and a shift rod 1 is shifted backward by means of a toggle device, the roller 3 fitted to a lead channel 1b rises positioning a lever 20 as shown by a solid line in the figure, and as a result, the taper section 23a of a rod is lowered subject to the force of a spring 28 expanding a collet 4 and then fixing the small end section. And another roller 3 is lowered positioning an L shaped arm 10 as shown by another solid line in the figure, and as a result, a push rod 13 presses a cap W1 subject to the force of a spring 15. On the other hand, the unclamping member of a lever 30 is retracted, and the lever 30 presses the side section of the large end to a reference surface. And an arm 61 is lowered by a cylinder pressing both ends of a connecting rod.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of defects such as scars on the ground surface of a workpiece during transport by installing a mechanism for delivering the workpiece which is worked in a grinding unit into the working part side of a clamp-unit by a workpiece to be worked next. CONSTITUTION:When one spindle completes working, a sliding table slides in one direction, and a work on the other spindle is set oppositely to the grinding working part of a rotary grindstone, and grinding work is carried out. During this time, on the former spindle, a workpiece W which is sent under pressure in a work feeding passage 23 is sent into a receiving member 26 and stopped. Then a cylinder unit 28 operates to lift up the receiving member 26, and a pressing plate 34 is pushed forwardly through a pushing-in member 32. Therefore, a clamping member 40 is advanced, and the holding of a workpiece after working is released. Then, a cylinder unit 36 is advanced, and the workpiece at the rear edge of an insertion hole is pushed in, and the rear edge surface of the workpiece after working is pushed out by the front edge of the not-yet-worked workpiece. Then, the workpiece received into a receiving hole is sent under pressure to a polishing unit through a transfer hole 53a.

    • PURPOSE:To perform quick and exact positioning by use of a simple method by placing one of end faces on a horizontal reference seat, shifting a shift rod horizontally to move two kinds of arms, and pressing respective mate faces and side faces to a perpendicular reference block subject to the force of a spring. CONSTITUTION:One of the end face W2 of a cap W, which are parallel with each other, is placed on the horizontal reference seat 41 of a jig base 40. The horizontal and backward shift of a shift rod 1 by means of a toggle device lowers the roller 3 fitted to a lead channel 1a moving the upper section 10a of an L shaped swing arm 10 to right direction as shown by a solid line in the figure. As a result, the push rod 13 of a cap section presses a head section W5 subjected to the force of a spring 15 positioning the cap W on the reference surfaces of perpendicular reference blocks 42b and 43. On the other hand, the separation of the unclamping member 4 provided to the shift rod 1 from a pushing arm 30 causes the pushing arm 30 to be pulled by a spring 32 pressing the side face of a cap section to a perpendicular reference block in parallel with the shift rod 1 at the end section, and as a result, the cap W is positioned.
