    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily fit and connect a box culvert and maintain water cut-off performance even if connection parts are moved relative to each other.
      SOLUTION: Using an annular rubber joint member having an anchor part 2A buried in the male fitting part of the box culvert, a pedestal part 2B exposed to the outer peripheral surface S1 of the male fitting part, and a swelled part 2D which is in continuous with the pedestal part 2B with a constricted part 2C interposed therebetween and swelled round at the free end, the male fitting part and a female fitting part are fitted to each other to fall the swelled part 2D and hold the swelled part between the inner peripheral surface of the female fitting part and the surface of the pedestal part 2B. Consequently, the gap between the outer peripheral surface S1 of the male fitting part and the inner peripheral surface of the female fitting part is sealed.

SOLUTION: One end of a bar-shaped binding material 13 passed through a plurality of binding material inserting holes 7 of box culverts C communicating to each other is fixed to one end of the box culvert C1, and the other end threaded shaft end 12 of the material is projected from a hole end part of the other end box culvert C2. A fixing nut 16 is threaded to the projected threaded shaft part 12, and a connecting bolt 19 is connected to the end of the threaded shaft 12 through a connection nut 17. The connection bolt 19 is inserted into an inserting hole part 36 provided in a support part 37 of a support table 20, and a binding nut 27 is threaded to the tip portion of the connection bolt through a movable washer 22 and a friction reducing member 23 having split washers 18 and 21 rotatable in spherical contact therein. While the movable washer 22 is rotated, the binding nut 27 is bound with friction reduced by the friction reducing member 23, and, after a pre-stress is introduced to the bar- shaped binding material 13, the fixing nut 16 is tightened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a living space for aquatic animal by making the aquatic plant grow thick in the peripheral part of a channel while water passing capability of the channel is exhibited favorably and to facilitate channel maintenance by lessening the labor for cutting aquatic plants.
      SOLUTION: In a trihedral lining channel 3, bottom openings 9 are bored in the side part of a channel bottom 5. The bottom openings 9 are disposed at intervals of about 40 cm in the extending direction of the channel. The bottom openings 9 are grow thick part of aquatic plants. The percentage of the total area of all bottom openings 9 to the area of the base 10 of the channel is set to about 15%. The channel side wall part 6 is provided with side wall openings 11 positioned corresponding to the bottom openings 9 on the upper side thereof, and the backside of the side opening 11 is stopped up with a rubble stone filling part 12. The lower end of the side wall opening 11 is set to the lowest water level of the channel, and the upper end of the side wall opening 11 is substantially aligned with the highest water level of the channel.
