    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a chlorine ion selective electrode made of a thiourea type compound for a long term by fixing neutral carrier type ligand associating with chlorine ion by hydrogen bonding to the macromolecular skeleton of an ion-sensitive film. SOLUTION: The ion-sensitive film 4 is stuck to the end part of a cylinder 1 receiving inner liquid 2 and an inner electrode 3 in the electrode cylinder 1. This electrode 3 is soaked in a sample solution together with a reference electrode made of a calomel electrode or the like, and potential difference of electromotive force of the chlorine ion selecting electrode is measured by an ordinary method based on the reference electrode. A macromolecule fixing film type ion-sensitive film containing macromolecule fixing ligand is used. For the manufacturing method of the sensitive film 4, an ion film fixing neutral carrier type compound meeting with chlorine ion by hydrogen bonding to a macromolecular skeleton as ligand is used. Consequently, even when an obstacle substance coexists in a measured liquid, the chlorine ion can be selectively detected without being influenced by it, and selective ability of response against the chlorine ion is high for a long term and measurement of high accuracy becomes possible.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the improvement of selectivity to bivalent ions by impregnating an ion exchange resin film with lipophilic compounds and forming polymers on its surface. SOLUTION: Alkane, ester, ether, etc., are used as lipophilic compounds, which are neutral. An ion exchange resin film 4 is glued to the end part of a cylindrical polyvinyl chloride sensor main body 1, and the sensor main body 1 is filled with an internal solution. An internal solid electrode 3 formed of silver/silver halide is immersed in the internal solution, one end of a lead wire 5 for deriving signals is connected to the metal part of the internal solid electrode 3, and the other end is connected to an external measuring circuit. Each approximately 2 mM of 1-octene, styrene, and divinylbenzene are dissolved in approximately 20 ml of methanol, and in this solution the ion exchange resin film 4 is immersed for approximately 1 hour and heated at approximately 60 deg.C for approximately 2 hours. By this, it is possible to obtain a selectivity- improved highly reliable sensor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of electromotive force of an ion sensor by using a cation in which an ion sensitive film or an inner electrode shows response as the cation of internal electrolyte, and using an anion in which the inner electrode does not show response as the anion of the internal electrolyte. SOLUTION: An electrode body 1 has an internal electrolyte 2 built-in itself, and is provided with an inner electrode 3 coming into contact with the internal electrolyte 2, and a sensitive film 4 coming into contact with the internal electrolyte 2 is bonded to the end of the body 1. A cation (potassium ion) in which the ion sensitive film 4 shows response and a cation (silver ion) in which the inner electrode 3 shows response are mutually mixed to be used as the cation of the internal electrolyte 2, and an anion (nitric ion) in which the inner electrode 3 does not show the response is used as the anion. In the above style, the electromotive force of an ion sensor is not influenced by the concentration of the internal electrolyte 2. If the concentration fluctuates according to the condition of using and keeping, the electromotive force is stable, and a drift does not occur.
