摘要： A processing system to be used when a lost IC card is found, more particularly, a method and an apparatus for executing efficiently a processing of an IC card found by using a communication line and an electronic purse. The present invention comprises a terminal and a processing center. The terminal includes a slot for inserting an IC card found, a second slot for inserting a second IC card, means for calling a found processing center on the basis of information read out from the found IC card so inserted, means for reading the information in the second IC card and transmitting the information to the center, means for writing a processing code generated by the center for the found processing into the second IC card, means for erasing the information in the found IC card by the instruction from the center, and means for storing the found IC card so erased. On the other hand, the processing center includes means for storing the information of at least the found IC card on the basis of the transmission signal from the terminal, means for generating the processing code for the found processing, means for generating the instruction for erasing the information in the found IC card, and means for storing the information of the second IC card transmitted from the terminal and the processing code. The present invention can easily recover the information stored in the found IC card without applying any burden to the card finder, the original IC card owner and the card issuing party, and can return the information to the owner. Further, the present invention can donate a reward suitably and easily by electronic money to the finder of the IC card by utilizing a communication line while preventing an unfair practice.

The IC card (1) is written with at least specified access destination information for accessing the server system (4), the controller (3) automatically accesses the server system (4) through the communication unit (10) in accordance with the access destination information in the IC card, and the server system (4) offers information to an information offering destination (1, 3, 4) determined automatically by information to be offered which is processed by the server system (4), an information offering destination (1, 3, 4) already written in the IC card (1) inserted in the IC card read/write unit (2) or an information offering destination (1, 3, 4) designated by a user after the insertion of the IC card (1).

摘要： When the amount of a loan of the user of an IC card is written to a personal information storage provided in a center and when the IC card is inserted into the slot of an electronic purse terminal at the time of a current transaction, the amount of the loan stored in the personal information storage is cleared and this loan is paid. The balance stored in the sum information storage of the IC card is updated by this payment and is stored as the current balance in the sum information storage. If the balance is more than the charge for a transaction, the transaction is carried out and if the balance is less than the charge for the transaction, the transaction is performed by obtaining a new loan. The amount of this new loan is stored in the personal information storage.
