摘要： PURPOSE:To speed up the retrieving process for a symbol string (character string) by coupling a CPU and the retrieval module through a general address bus and a data bus and placing the both in partial charge of the symbol string (character string) retrieving process. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 100 and retrieval module 200 as a multifunctional module are connected through the general address bus and data bus, and data set previously in the retrieving module 200 are written by the CPU 100. The symbol string (character string) retrieving process is started by transferring text data to the retrieving module 200 by the CPU 100. Then the result of collation with the text data is outputted to the result storage means of the data input/output means 202 of the retrieving module 200 and the CPU 100 reads and interprets it. The CPU 100 and retrieving module 200 are integrated as a retrieval processor on the same chip to speed up the data transfer between the CPU 100 and retrieving module 200. Consequently, the symbol string (character string) retrieving process is speeded up.

摘要： In a video storage and delivery apparatus (102-105) and a video storage and delivery system (Fig. 1), video data items are simultaneously supplied to a plurality of users (170, 172) while guaranteeing the time axis and the picture quality of the video data. The apparatus includes a frame address table (1408) which indicates a storage location in the apparatus of each frame of video data to start a special reproduction or a reproduction at a desired frame and a control unit (161) controlling a switch bus (140) connecting a plurality of video storage and delivery apparatuses to a plurality of channels so as to conduct data transfers via the switch bus between the apparatuses and between video reproduction devices of the users. From an optical disk data storage storing video data, a plurality of video data items are read in a timesharing fashion to be temporarily stored in a magnetic disk device or a semiconductor memory, thereby delivering the video data items therefrom to the users.

摘要： A document processing system for processing documents by using structured keywords comprises an output system (200) and a receiver system (201). The output system (200) includes a first storage (10) for storing a structured keyword dictionary containing structured keywords among which relations are systematically structured, and linkage unit (3) providing linkage information for establishing correspondences between constituent parts of an input document and corresponding ones of the keywords. The receiver system (201) is coupled to the output system and includes a second storage (110) for storing structured keywords among which relations are systematically structured, and retrieving unit (141) having inputs supplied with the document and the linkage information for retrieving the document to thereby form data of a predetermined edition format by using the structured keyword read out from the second storage. Data transfer between the output system and the receiver systems can be performed either on-line or off-line.

摘要： A network communication method (and system) enables received data to be transferred directly to the user data region, thereby eliminating the need to perform data copy operations. Packets are each provided with received region assignment information (port ID) for showing the region in which the packet is to be received and/or division information for dividing the packet. The region which is to receive data contained in the packet is determined from a port table and conversion tables, and the packet data is transferred to the region directly.
