Thus, the system copes flexibly with a physical and logical change, and production of an undesired traffic is prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of route switching between OSPF domains, that method has a high extensibility and a lightweight, and also coping with enlarging for network. SOLUTION: In the router, an OSPF means 7 of a route control program 5 sends and receives control packets towards an extra router 11 presenting in the OSPF domain controlled by the control program 5. As a result, the control packets obtain a route information in the appropriate OSPF domain so as to register in a route table 8. The registered route information is sent to other route control program 5 via NISP program 4. Then, the route information is stored in the route table 8 of other route control program, the route information of other OSPF domain can be sent by the OSPF means 7 to the extra router 11 of the OSPF domain, in which the information is included.

摘要： PURPOSE:To speed up the repeating processing of cells by starting the judgment of the necessity of a repeating at a point of time when the cells which are pertinent to the header part of a packet become complete and successively repeating the cells of the same cell group belonging to the packet having the header for which the necessity of the repeating is judged by a cell unit. CONSTITUTION:An analysis request function 15 detects that cells of sufficient number to analyze the header part to a packet are stored in a reception buffer in each cell group, logical path identification data, the identification data of the cell groups and the header part of the packet are extracted and the judgment of the necessity of a reepating is requested to a repeating judgment function 16. The repeating judgment function 16 judges the necessity of the repeating by referring to a routing table 21. At this stage, if an address IP address included in the packet header to be a judgment object is registered in the routing table 21, the necessity of the repeating is judged. A repeating processing is performed for the cells of the same group for which the necessity of the repeating is judged by a cell level repeating function 20 in a cell level.

When it arrives at the destination side bridge 5, a bit of priority information in the information part is detected. In such a way, the bit of priority information of the transmission frame of the low-order LAN2 on a transmission side can be affected on the frame of the low-order LAN3 on a destination side.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce considerably a time switched to a backup route after the occurrence of a fault in the router in a network system having a redundant route between LANs and to switch a route at a high speed by having only to mount an additional function to the router without imposing any modification onto a communication terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:Routers 1, 3 and routers 2, 4 being respectively in backup relation in a route between LANs 7 and 8 send periodically a monitor packet for mutual monitor with each other at an interval shorter than an interval of routing protocol packets in addition to the routing protocol packet for generating a routing table. Thus, the switching time to the backup route on the occurrence of a fault in a router is considerably reduced more than the case with using only a standard routing protocol such as RIP by means of the mutual monitor using the monitor packet. Furthermore, since this method does not give effect on the standard protocol, the effect is obtained without needing revision of an existing communication terminal equipment at all.
