    • PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the impurity ion corresponding to the leak of seawater, by injecting a required amount of an ion adsorbing material in a filtering and desalting device when the conductivity and/or chlorine ion concn. of the condensed water in a condenser exceed set values. CONSTITUTION:At first, a conductivity meter 10 and a chlorine ion densitomator 11 are arranged in the hot well of a condenser 5 as means for detecting unexpected mixture of impurity, that is, the leak of seawater at an early stage. By this constitution, when the conductivity and/or chlorine ion concn. of condensed water exceed set values by unexpected mixture of impurity due to the leak of seawater, both values are immediately detected. An operational control circuit 13 emits a signal corresponding to the detection result and the particulate adsorbing material in an ion adsorbing material tank 12 are injected in a filtering and desalting device 9 on the basis of said signal by a pump 14 and suspended to adsorb and remove the impurity. As a result, the impurity ion corresponding to the leak of seawater is purified before entering a nuclear reactor.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the damage of a membrane surface by dividing the operation at back-washing time, a clad generated in former stage is separated and kept, washing the clad with a diluted water in the next stage, and providing a tank to separate and store the clad generated in the former stage. CONSTITUTION:A storage part 9 holding a clad 7 settled at a lows part of a filter is provided and a dam 10 to allow the storage part 9 to work is provided, and a raw liquid inflowing pipe 11 is provided at an upper place than the storage part 9. In the back-washing by air bubbling in the state that the inside of the filter is fully filled with inflowing water, air is introduced from an air pipe 4 in a module for a constant time and the stuck substances on a hollow yarn membrane are separated. The air is discharged outside the system with vent, etc. On the other hand, the clad separated with the back-washing is isolated in the storage part 9 with naturally settling. Later, air is again introduced in the module and bubbling is carried out. After the back-washing is finished, the clad is conveyed from an outflowing pipe 13 to a clad liquid storage tank 14 outside the system. Thus, the damage of the membrane surface is reduced.
