    • PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a part in the neighborhood of a side electrode by cutting the edge part of a rectangular electrode extending over two adjacent array grooves of a notched part, and communicating a segmentation groove with a parting groove at the notched part. CONSTITUTION:Plural rectangular electrodes 4 are formed by embedding plural columnar bodies 1 made of a piezoelectric material in an organic body 2, sticking electrodes 6 formed in thin film shape on the surface and back planes and a pair of side planes, and providing a slit shape array groove 5 intersecting orthogonally to the pair of side planes at the electrode on the surface. Also, a common electrode 8 is formed by providing the parting grooves 9 in parallel with the pair of side planes in the neighborhood of the pair of side planes of the electrode on the back plane, and the notched part 10 is provided extending over the adjacent array grooves 5 and also so as to cut the edge part of the rectangular electrode 4. And the slit shape segmentation groove 7a to segment the electrode 6 on the side plane and to communicate with the parting groove 9 is provided in the notched part, and the side electrode 6 which communicates with the rectangular electrode 4 is formed alternately and at every two positions. Thereby, it is possible to increase the strength by increasing a traverse area in the neighborhood of the side electrode, and to prevent the columnar body and the organic body from being peeled or dropped.

    • PURPOSE:To form minute electric insulators and make operating voltage low and then, improve reliability to contrive a low manufacturing cost by oxidizing a part of each electrode which is not in contact with a lead terminal out of Al aluminum electrodes that are exposed to the side face of a laminate by anode oxidation and further, sealing holes that are still existent by an electrophoresis process. CONSTITUTION:An alternate laminate 6 is formed by laminating piezoelectric ceramic 1 and Al aluminum alloy electrodes 2 which have areas smaller than those of the above ceramics and a temporary electrode 10 is formed at a position where an end face of each electrode is exposed every other layer out of the side faces of the laminate. Subsequently, the temporary electrode 10 is immersed in an electrolyte 9 in such a way as to allow a dc power source 8 to be connected so that the temporary electrode 10 may act as an anode and a metal 7 having an ionization tendency larger than that of the temporary electrode 10 may act as a cathode. The surface of each electrode 2 connecting to the temporary electrode 10 is anodized by use of a device mentioned above and a porous oxide layer is formed. Then, sealing treatment is performed with resin at the inside and surface of each hole in the porous oxide layer located on the surface of each electrode 2 that is anodized in such a way that an electrophoresis process is performed by immersing the porous oxide layer in a dilute electrolyte in which resins are scattered without immersing it in the electrolyte. Then, minute electric insulation compounds are formed at the edge faces of the electrodes 2 and insulation is made between each lead terminal for extracting to the outside and each internal electrode.
