CONSTITUTION:A cap 4 on which an upper die 16 is fixed is detached from a cylinder 3 in a state in which the cylinder 3 is pushed up by an air cylinder 6, one substrate 17 of two hub substrates 17 coated with adhesives is arranged on a lower die 11 fixed at the center part of a piston 2 while the substrate is inserted through a center pin 12 and the other substrate 17 having the hub for which a magnet 15 is adsorbed is arranged on the pin 12. The tightly sealed space 1 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 9. Then the valve of the pump 9 is closed, the pressure in the cylinder 6 is decreased by pushing up the cylinder 3, the support of the cylinder 3 is released, the pressure in the cylinder 3 and the cap 4 is decreased to the atmospheric pressure, the substrate supported by the pin 12 and the magnet 15 is pushed down by means of the die 16 and is adhered to the other substrate arranged on the die 11.

    • PURPOSE:To attain an excellent uniform development capacity and realize good reproducibility and easy handling by quickly moving a developing tank with an air cylinder and quickly immersing a photoresist disk in a developer to start development and tacking out the disk from the developer and pouring water onto the disk like a shower simultaneously to quickly stop development. CONSTITUTION:A glass disk 2 to which a photoresist film 1 to which a signal pattern is exposed is stuck is fixed onto a turntable 23 by vacuum. A shaft 5 starts to slowly rotate, and a photoresist disk 15 is completely immersed in a developer 16 to start development, and formation of a rugged pattern is started, and the diffracted light of the first order of an He-Ne laser light diffracted by this rugged pattern is made incident on a sensor 9. When a ratio of the output of the diffracted light sensor 9 to that of a light-transmissive sensor 8 reaches a certain value, discharge of the developer 16 is started, and a pure water 21 is poured onto the photoresist film 1 like a shower, and the photoresist disk 15 is put in pure water when the quantity of the pure water reaches a certain value.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a higher recording density and smaller crosstalks by adequately adjusting the depth of guiding grooves according to the sectional shape and pitch of the guiding grooves. CONSTITUTION:The guiding grooves 4 are formed to have the depth d1 of (lambda/10n to lambda/16n)X(1.5 to 1.6) when the sectional shape of the guiding grooves 4 is formed to an approximately triangular shape, the pitch P of the refractive index to 1.0 to 1.5 mum and the wavelength of light for reproducing as lambda and the refractive index of a transparent substrate 2 as (n). Many tracks can be arranged in the recording of a specified area and the recording density in the direction where the guiding grooves are arranged is increased when the track pitch is diminished. The wavelength of the light for recording/reproducing is shortened and the pitch length of prepits and add-on pits is shortened as the track pitch is smaller and, therefore, the recording density can be increased in the direction along the guiding grooves as well. On the other hand, the crosstalks are decreased when the guiding grooves of the smaller pitch are formed in such a manner.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum tracking signal when a transparent film having the refractive index larger than the refractive index of the substrate is provided between the substrate and a recording film by determining the depth of V-grooves at the depth smaller than lambda/6 and larger than lambda/8 with respect to the wavelength lambda of laser light to be projected on a disk. CONSTITUTION:A UV curing resin layer 2 for making V-shaped guide grooves 6 having lambda/6-lambda/8 depth is provided on the glass substrate 1. After the inside of a sputtering device is evacuated to a vacuum at 100 deg.C, the substrate is loaded into said device and the transparent film having n=1.9-2.14 refractive index and 750-900Angstrom thickness, for example, a thin film 3 of Si3N4 having n=2.07 and 850Angstrom thickness is deposited on the substrate. The angle of Kerr rotation of the magnetic film is increased by utilizing the interference in the film. A quaternary amorphous magnetic film 4 consisting of TbFeCoNb is successively deposited on said film by changing the target, following which a protective film 5 consisting of Si3N4 is deposited thereon. The magneto-optical disk having the depth of the guide grooves with which the optimum tracking signal is obtainable without decreasing the degree of modulation of the tracking signal in the case of using the transparent film having a high refractive index is obtd. as the angle of Kerr rotation is increased by this constitution.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain optimum push-pull signals and to stabilize tracking characteristics by forming the guide grooves of the medium provided with prepit arrays between the guide grooves of specific intervals to a V-shaped section and specifying the width and depth of the grooves. CONSTITUTION:The magneto-optical disk is formed by sticking two sheets of veneers 10, 10a to each other via an adhesive layer 11 and is formed with the guide grooves 2 at 1.0 to 2.0mum intervals on the veneers 10, 10a. The prepit arrays 3 are provided therebetween. The grooves 3 are formed to the V-shaped section and the width W and depth (d) thereof are specified to the values expressed by equation I, equation II when the wavelength of a laser beam is designated as lambda, the numerical aperture of an optical head as NA and the refractive index of a transparent substrate 4 as ns. The push-pull signals attain the max. value at the specific groove depth and the max. value increases when the groove width increases. The optimum push-pulls signals are obtd. by regulating the width and depth of the grooves to a prescribed range. The tracking characteristics are thereby stabilized.
