    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple and compact electrophotographic device constituted so that a fringe phenomenon can be suppressed by applying auxiliary exposure to a position where the fringe phenomenon is expected to be caused, that means, a white part around an image with such light quantity that potential between the potential for developing toner and the intermediate potential is generated. SOLUTION: At an exposure time after a photoreceptor 1 is electrified, the photoreceptor 1 is exposed with such light quantity that three potential parts being the electrifying potential part where the toner is regularly developed, the discharge potential part where the toner is reversely developed and the intermediate potential part where the toner is not developed are formed. By an exposure control means 4, the white part all around the image where a reverse electric field is caused and an auxiliary exposure position are decided so as to make an exposure element emit light with auxiliary exposure quantity. Then, the white part which is formed on the back end of the potential part where the toner is developed in the rotating direction of a developing roll and where the reverse electric field is caused is exposed by such light quantity that the potential between the potential for developing the toner and the intermediate potential is generated. Besides, the white part which is formed on the front side and at the side part and where the reverse electric field is caused is exposed by such light quantity that the intermediate potential is generated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact optical scanner whose scanning accuracy is high by constituting a laser light source so that plural semiconductor laser chips emitting laser light beams whose wavelength is different are arranged to be arrayed, separating the deflected laser light beams every wavelength and sending them toward plural scanning positions. SOLUTION: By the GaN system multichip semiconductor laser light source 101, the synthetic laser light beam including the laser light beams of four kinds of wavelength is outputted. Then, the synthetic laser light beam is spectrally split to four single laser light beams by dichroic mirrors 106-109 corresponding to the wavelength of the synthetic laser light beam. The images of four spectrally split single light beams are respectively formed on photoreceptor drums 110-113 so as to form spots. By the spots, the surfaces of the drums 110-113 are respectively scanned in a shaft direction according to the polarizing scanning of the synthetic laser light beam deflected by a polygon mirror 104. Since the optical axes of the synthetic laser light beams outputted from the light source 101 coincide, an accurate optical scanning action is realized.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain an analyzation characteristics with less light quantity fluctuation in scanning by independently controlling two pieces of information in one beam and using a guest host liquid crystal cell as an analyzation means for dividing before a scanning position. CONSTITUTION: A polarization switch 103 is arranged between a laser light source and a rotary polygon mirror 105 by using a laser 101, and the polarization direction of a laser beam of linear polarization is changed. A polarization beam 111 is generated by controlling the polarization and light quantity by a control circuit 110. Further, a half mirror 107 holding a polarization state and equally dividing the light quantity is arranged before two photosensitive drums 108, 109, and the equivalent polarization beams 112, 113 are faced to two photosensitive bodies respectively. The guest host liquid crystal cells 114, 115 of which the absorption axes are oriented in a crossnicol arrangement, and they detect the light orthogonal with each other. The light is absorbed by a dystuff in the guest host liquid crystal cell. At this time, by controlling the direction of the dystuff within a vibration surface of light, the analyzation characteristics with less light quantity fluctuation in scanning is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:The polarization direction of a laser beam of a linear polarization is changed by arranging a polarization switch 103 between a laser beam source and a rotating polygon mirror 105 using one laser 101. A polarized light 111 is formed by controlling a polarization and a light quantity by a controller 110. One directional light of polarizations 112, 113 is made to head to one photosensitive body by arranging a polarizing beam splitter 107 which passes one of polarization and reflects other polarization in front of two photosensitive drums 108, 109. Then, latent images of different colors are formed on the same photosensitive drum 108 by irradiating different places on the photosensitive drum 108 with laser beams splitted by the polarizing splitter 107 by using a mirror or the like.
