    • PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality two-color image by reversing the polarity of the intruded first toner to the same polarity as that of the second toner, even if the first toner is intruded into the second developer. CONSTITUTION: This two-color image forming device is constituted of a photoreceptor drum 1, an electrifier 2, a light source 3, a first developing unit 4, a second developing unit 5, a pretransfer electrifier 6, a transfer unit 7, a cleaner 8, a fixing unit 9 and a recording medium 10. When positively charged toner is used as the first toner, for normal development and negatively charged toner is used as the second toner, for reversal development, as the first toner intruded into the second developer, one whose polarity is reversed to the same polarity as that of the second toner by friction with the second carrier and triboelectric charge quantity is made larger than that of the second toner is used. Thus, the second image part of black is developed with the first toner intruded into the second developer, at the time of forming the second image. Therefore, even if the first toner is intruded into the second developer, a color mixture is not conspicuous.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease damage caused to toner at the time of carrying the toner and to prevent image quality from being deteriorated by returning the toner removed and recovered from an electrostatic charge image carrier by the respective cleaning devices of plural image forming devices to the image forming device whose toner carrying distance is the shortest. CONSTITUTION:In the 1st image forming device 101, electrostatic charge image information is written on the surface of the electrostatic charge image carrier 11 and developed to form a toner image. The toner image is transferred to a recording medium by a transfer device 61. Residual toner is recovered by the cleaning device 71. The recovered toner is carried to the developing device 42 of the 2nd image forming device 102 through a carrying path 81. Since the cleaning device 71 is arranged on an opposite side to the developing device 41 by putting the electrostatic latent image carrier 11 between them, the toner carrying distance becomes shorter in the case of carrying the recovered toner to the developing device 42 of the 2nd image forming device 102 than in the case of carrying the recovered toner to the developing device 41 far from the cleaning device 71.
