    • PURPOSE:To perform rapid heating of a heater at the beginning of power application so as to prevent a high voltage from being generated between an anode and a cathode, by setting an output level at the beginning of power application to be larger than a prescribed value and making a primary current flow in an input coil of a transformer for the longer hours, the larger the output level is set. CONSTITUTION:When a power source 1 is turned on, a controlling level for startup is set larger than a prescribed value by a controlling circuit 2 and then a switching element 3 is driven. The element 3 is controlled on and off so that a ratio of its on time to its off time is made large comparatively. Consequently a magnetron voltage becomes a voltage V2 which is larger than a steady value. As a frequency of a heating voltage of a heater is lowered, the voltage value is increased so that the current of the heater increases. The heater is heated rapidly to raise the temperature and to operate a magnetron 9 in a critical state. After the heater attains to the prescribed temperature, the magnetron 9 is operated in the steady state. After a prescribed time, an output level of the power source 1 is exchanged into a value smaller than the preset one by the use of a time setting circuit 10, and the element 3 is driven by the circuit 2 so as to obtain a corresponding output power.

    • PURPOSE:To effect ON/OFF control stably, by a method wherein a predetermined timing before the intersection between an oscillating voltage, induced in the primary coil of a transformer, and zero level is caught to put a switching element ON while estimating the intersection to occur thereafter. CONSTITUTION:In a switching power source device, the primary coil 6a of a booster transformer 6 and a switching circuit 4 are connected to both terminals of a DC power source 1 in series while a resonance capacitor 5 is connected in parallel to the switching circuit 4. A transformer voltage detecting circuit 2 is connected to both terminals of the primary coil 6a of the booster transformer 6 and an ON/OFF control circuit 3 is connected to the output side of the voltage detecting circuit 2, further, the switching circuit 4 is connected to the output side of the control circuit 3. The booster transformer 6 is equipped with respective windings for a magnetron 8 at the output side thereof. According to this method, the switching circuit 4 may be turned OFF with a timing, at which an impressing voltage becomes zero, whereby a switching loss may be eliminated and the title device may be operated stably.

    • PURPOSE:To control output smoothly and stably, by switching the pulsating voltage of output from a rectifier circuit, at high frequencies, to apply the voltage to a load, and by synchronizing this switching operation period with the pulsation of the voltage, to change the period. CONSTITUTION:So far as a switching power-supply device is concerned, the main circuit of a high frequency inverter is composed of a full-wave rectifier circuit 2, a transformer 3, a switching transistor 4, a regenerative diode, and a resonance capacitor 6, and current is fed to a magnetron 9 via voltage doubler circuits 7, 8 from the secondary winding 3b of said transformer 3. This controlling circuit is provided with a timing circuit 11, a synchronous pulse generating circuit 12, a waveform shaping circuit 13, a current averaging circuit 15, a high-frequency oscillating circuit 18, a working period controlling switch 19, a driving circuit 21, and the like. As a result, pulsating voltage applied to the magnetron 9 through the transistor 4 is driven by high frequency, and its working period is synchronized with the pulsating of voltage and is changed, and so output control can be stably performed.

    • PURPOSE:To start stably by providing a starting control circuit pulsing an input voltage and a circuit detecting a valley voltage of said input voltage and by causing an apparatus to perform a switching operation from a point of time of detection of said valley voltage. CONSTITUTION:In a switching power supply, the input side of a rectifier bridge 2 is connected with both ends of a commercial power supply 1 and the primary winding 8 and switching element 7 of a transformer are connected with the output side of said rectifier bridge 2. Then, a control circuit 7 is connected with said element 7 and a valley voltage detection circuit 4 detecting a valley of output pulsating voltage of said bridge 2, with said control circuit. Said both circuits 4-5 are supplied with electricity by an auxiliary power circuit and provided with a starting control circuit 3. Thus, when an auxiliary power voltage attains a level at which the switching element 7 can be operated safely, and a valley voltage detection command is given from the valley voltage detection circuit 4, switching is started. As a result, an excessive rush current is prevented from flowing through the switching element 7.

    • PURPOSE:To perform starting and other operations stably by providing a circuit detecting a valley of pulsating input voltage of a resonance type converter and an oscillator circuit for a switching element. CONSTITUTION:In a switching power supply, a rectifier bridge 12 is connected with both ends of a commercial power supply 11; and a discharge circuit 13, with both ends of said rectifier bridge 12. Said discharge circuit 13 is capable of discharging a capacitor 17 and is inserted to pulse a voltage behind the rectifier bridge. Then, a valley voltage detection circuit 14 for pulsating voltage is connected with both ends of the rectifier bridge 12 and also with a switching element 16 via an oscillator circuit 15. Further, a primary side winding 18-1 of transformer 18 and the resonance capacitor 17 are connected in series with both ends of said bridge 12 and the switching element 16 is connected in parallel with said resonance capacitor 17, while an output power is outputted from a transformer secondary winding 18-2 to an external circuit. Thus, if oscillation of the oscillator circuit 15 is started at the valley point of a pulsating input voltage, said element can be prevented from destroying.
