SOLUTION: The winding direction of a superconducting coil 1 which comprises turns of superconductor thereon forms an angle with the horizontal plane. The superconducting coil 1 is fastened by spacers 3 to a coil container 2 so disposed as to surround the superconducting coil 1 along its winding direction. A cryogen 5 is fed from the lower portion of a heat-insulated vacuum container 4 into the coil container 2 to cool in a dipping way the superconducting coil 1. Bubbles mixed in the cryogen 5 are exhausted by their buoyancies to the outside of the coil container 2 via bubble exhausting passages 7 provided in the spacers 3.

A first front fan 19 is provided at the end face of the front bracket 9, and a second front fan 20 is provided at a portion projected out from the front bracket 9. Cooling wind flows from air blowing holes 21a and 21b in a manner as shown by arrows F1a to F6a and F1b to F6b, and each part is cooled off.

Consequently, flow of coolant can be uniformized.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance cooling efficiency and reliability by letting outside air enter into an induction motor through the air inlet in a stator frame. SOLUTION: A rotor 1 of an open-type induction motor, a stator core 3 which is opposed to the rotor with a specified distance (air gap) 9 in-between and provided with a stator winding 20 and the circumference of which is fit into the inside surface of a stator frame 2 having an air inlet 10, and a bearing 4, are secured. When the inlet side of an internal fan is brought under negative pressure, air is let in through the air inlet 10 in an end bracket. Heat from the rotor 1 is transmitted to the air in the air gap through the air, ventilating the interior and then transmitted to the stator. Further, heat from the stator is cooled by a backside air flow passing through an inside ventilating path 17 in the stator frame from an internal fan 12. For this reason, the efficiency of cooling for the induction motor is enhanced, with an increase in the quantity of air ventilating the interior.
