    • PURPOSE:To realize a highly effective operation of a laser beam printer, by providing a means that decides the output of a laser beam in the levels of two steps and using one of the two steps for detection of the position of the laser beam and using the other step for detection of the reduction of the laser beam volume respectively. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam L which is made incident in a certain cycle is detected by a beam detector 5, and the output of detection is supplied to comparators 8 and 9 respectively. The comparator 8 produces an output to an input signal higher than the comparison potential and sends the output to a BD driver 10 in the form of a detection signal for the position of the beam L. The comparator 9 produces an output to an input signal higher than the comparison potential which is higher than that of the comparator 8 and then sends it to a display 11 in the form of a reduction signal of the laser beam volume. In such a way, the exchange of laser oscillators, the control of an optical system, etc. are made possible before a laser beam printer becomes faulty of ensure a highly efficient operation of the laser printer.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation in paper sequence in spite of a case when wind force is strong by providing the 1st guide which is provided near the position where paper is discharged and guides the paper obliquely downward, and the 2nd guide which guides the paper in a stacker in approximately parallel with the stacker. CONSTITUTION:A guide 31 is located near a discharge port, and its tip is placed higher than the position where paper is discharged and its trailing end in a position lower than this, so that the paper is guided downward. A guide 32 is approximately parallel to the bottom surface of a stacker 35, and presses the top surface of paper. When the paper is discharged from the discharge port, the tip thereof abuts on the guide 31, is conducted downward, is lifted by wind pressure and moves approximately along the guide 32. When the paper fully enters the stacker 35, its trailing end is elongated by the elasticity of the paper itself and is held in a position sufficiently lower than the discharge port; hence, this turns out that the next paper always enters the uppermost part. As a result, the accumulation sequence of the paper does not deviate in spite of a case when wind force is strong.
