    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system wherein a management device side performs assignment of a target and a LU (Logical Unit) such that access does not concentrate upon a specific storage device and a specific port.
      SOLUTION: The management device selects a storage device having a lot of unassigned storage area, selects the target using a port having a small number of assignment number among the targets of the storage device, and to assign the target, an initiator, the storage area. The management device manages the storage device as an assignment candidate when the assignment number of the storage area and the target prepared by the storage device is a prescribed value or below. and excludes the storage device from the assignment candidate when it exceeds the prescribed number. When the number of the storage devices excluded from the assignment candidate reaches a prescribed number, the management device manages a new storage device and a new storage area as an assignment number candidate.
