    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail cord suspension device for an elevator capable of attaining a compact suspension device of high reliability even when coping with a high traveling stroke.SOLUTION: A tail cord 10 for feeding electric power to a car and for transceiving a signal therefrom/thereto is built in with a plurality of suspension wire ropes 10L, 10R, the suspension wire ropes 10L, 10R are installed in rope sockets 20L, 20R, and are fastened to simple rods 30L, 30R, one end thereof is attached thereafter to an elevator shaft side suspension device 100, and the other end thereof is attached to a car side suspension device 200. Lengths of the simple rods 30L, 30R are constituted previously with different dimensions, not to bring the respective rope sockets 20L, 20R attached to the plurality of suspension wire ropes 10L, 10R into an interference state, and a tail cord swinging preventive mechanism 130 is provided in a lower side of a drawing-out point 10a of the suspension wire ropes, to restrain a bending stress applied to the simple rods due to rolling of the tail cord.
