    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the luminance change of a luminance adjusting circuit due to ambient temperature by changing a current flowing to the primary control element of photocoupler of a DC superimposing circuit in response to the ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:When ambient temperature rises, a resistor R1 of the photocoupler 7 is increased and a current flowing to the primary control element is decreased apparently. Since the secondary resistance R3 of the photocoupler 15 having the same temperature characteristic is increased also in this case, the current flowing to a fixed resistor R4 is increased thereby reducing the value of the resistor R1. Thus, even if the ambient temperature rises, the resistance R1 of the photocoupler 7 is controlled in a direction whose increment is totally less. When the ambient temperature is lowered, the secondary resistance R1 of the photoocupler 7 is decreased and the primary current is increased apparently. Since the secondary resistance R3 of the photocoupler 15 is also decreased in this case, the current flowing to the resistor R4 is decreased and the resistor R1 is controlled so as to be increased.

    • PURPOSE:To attain simultaneously broad band characteristics and power saving of a driving circuit by inputting a blanking pulse to a base of a conrrol transistor (TR) of a constant voltage power supply block for setting cutoff voltage. CONSTITUTION:The blanking pulse is inputted to the base of a conrol TR2 of the constant voltage power supply block for setting cutoff voltage to cut off the control TR2 at blanking period. When the control TR2 becomes the cutoff state, a voltage ECO becomes a voltage drop's share by resistors R1, R2 for setting cutoff voltage and the blanking pulse having a large level is added to a video signal outputted from the driving circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To correct a flare, aperture effect, etc., which cause deterioration in display picture quality through an electric circuit by using a surface acoustic wave filter and a variable gain amplifier which have independently settable amplitude characteristics and phase characteristics in combination. CONSTITUTION:A video signal inputted to a video signal input terminal 17 is modulated to a carrier frequency that a filter with less phase distortion (e.g. surface acoustic wave filter denoted as SAW filter hereafter) requests, and divided into three frequency ranges by an SAW filter. Then, the signal is reconverted into a video signal of a base band by a demodulator 8 and its amplitude characteristics only are varied by the variable gain amplifier. In this case, the gain of an M range signal is unchanged and a large signal component between an L range and an H range varies with a control signal. Deterioration in picture quality due to a flare increases generally with screen brightness, so the control signal is obtained by detecting the screen brightness optically or by detecting the high voltage output power source of a high voltage power source (e.g. FBT) or a video output voltage.
