    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of cartridge by providing subsequently a turn table loading aperture and recording/reproducing aperture and then setting the shortest distance up to the turn table loading opening/closing aperture from the rotation center longer than the recording/reproducing aperture width. SOLUTION: A small size disk 1b comprised in a disk cartridge 11 is partly exposed from a recording/reproducing aperture of a cartridge aperture 10 within a recording/reproducing apparatus and a shutter 12 covers the aperture 10 at the outside of apparatus. The shutter 12 is simply composed of a sheet of plate and it is opened and closed by right and left sliding caused by elasticity of coil springs 13a, 13b. The right and left width of the loading aperture provided through the turn table is defined as 2Wj, while the right and left width of the recording/reproducing aperture as 2Wi. Here, the setting is made to satisfy the condition Wj>=Wi. Thereby, when the shutter 12 is slid to the right or left, an allowance area is generated against the lateral width Wk of the disk cartridge 11 and the disk cartridge loading reference surface can be provided to this allowance area.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the insertion and ejection of a disk cartridge without using the energizing means such as a spring, etc., when the disk cartridge is loaded, by making a shutter move in the direction to open an opening part in such a manner that a shutter moving means is linearly moved while bringing into contact with the shutter. SOLUTION: A shutter opening/closing mechanism 6 is provided with a guide groove 5 for controlling a shutter opening/closing pin 4 or the moving direction of the shutter opening/closing pin. The shutter opening/closing pin 4 is shaped so that the tip is columnar and also a chamfer is provided on a part thereof, while a contact part 3 to be in contact with the shutter opening/closing pin, 4 is provided on the shutter 2. When the disk cartridge 1 is inserted to the disk device, the contact part 3 is brought into contact with this shutter opening/ closing pin 4, and when the disk cartridge 1 is furthermore inserted, the shutter opening/closing pin 4 and the contact part 3 are connected and not separated during the loading operation of the disk cartridge 1.
