    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction plate that permits higher thrust and power factor than those of a conventional thick plate flat type reaction plate and assurance of reliability, robustness and productivity.SOLUTION: A reaction plate 102 of a linear induction motor is installed on a track on which a running vehicle travels as a secondary side conductor together with a primary side iron-core 101 on the running vehicle. The reaction plate 102 of the linear induction motor is comprised of a bonded material that bonds the top surface of an iron-system metallic base material 109 and the bottom surface of an electric conductive non-ferrous material 103. The top surface of the electric conductive non-ferrous material 103 is arranged so as to face the primary side iron-core 101, and multiple cuts 91 are grooved on the top surface of the iron-system metallic base material 109 at certain intervals.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a distortion factor of an induction electromotive force waveform in a permanent magnet rotating electric machine, especially a wind force power generating permanent magnet rotating electric machine.
      SOLUTION: The wind force power generating rotating electric machine comprises a stator slot structure to which a distributed winding is wound, and a rotor magnetic pole structure having a permanent magnet. The number of slots in each pole and phase is selected as the number which cannot be divided by 3P. P is the number of the poles. A width Tp is the width of a pole piece. A distance Tr is a distance between centers of adjacent outermost outside diameters in a permanent magnet rotor. A pole width rate Pw is calculated by dividing the pole piece width Tp by the distance Tr. The width Tp of the pole piece 4 is preferably selected within ranges of Pw of 0.6 or less, between 0.67 and 0.71 or 0.78 or more.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine for reducing stress applied to a rotor bar and an end ring by suppressing thermal expansion of the end ring because current density of current flowing on the surface of the end ring becomes large to increase heating power of the end ring due to the smallness of the radial width of the end ring of a rotary electric machine, therefore increasing thermal expansion of the end ring to cause excessive stress to act on the rotor bar.SOLUTION: A gap is formed between a rotor core 22 and an end ring 24, and an inner circumferential part of the end ring 24 is configured to be made smaller than the inner diameter of the rotor core 22 to extend toward a shaft 25 beyond a shaft arm 26. Thus, heat generation by a striking current of the end ring 24 is suppressed to reduce stress acting on a rotor bar 23.
