    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction machine which improves efficiency while increasing a power factor by increasing a leakage magnetic flux of a higher harmonic wave while reducing a leakage magnetic flux of a main magnetic flux.SOLUTION: The induction machine comprises a squirrel-cage rotor including: a rotor core; a plurality of rotor slots disposed at intervals in a circumferential direction at an outer circumferential side of the rotor core and formed continuously in an axial direction; a plurality of rotor bars inserted into the plurality of rotor slots; and a plurality of rotor slits continued to the plurality of rotor slots and positioned closer to an outer circumference of the rotor core than the plurality of rotor slots. The rotor slit is formed from a cavity, a circumferential width of the rotor slit on an inner peripheral surface is larger than a circumferential width of the rotor slit on an outer circumferential surface and smaller than a circumferential width of the rotor bar on an outer circumferential surface, and the circumferential width of the rotor slit has a region which is widened from the outer circumferential surface to the inner circumferential surface.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a pole change induction motor using a PAM method, where a main magnetomotive force (flux) component in a neighborhood of a gap where a polarity is changed being reduced and the start characteristics of the motor not being satisfactory. SOLUTION: There is provided a stator winding 1 having a plurality of coils U, V, and W formed by winding conductors. The coils U, V, and W are classified into a first coil block 3 and a second coil block 4, whose number of poles are different from that of the first coil block 3. First coils 6 and second coils 7, which have larger number of turns of the conductors than the first coils 6 are provided in the respective coil blocks. The polarities are switched between the first coil block 3 and the second coil block 4, to improve the start characteristics.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of insulator by making an oblique notch at the upper end of the comb tooth part of a rotor clamp thereby reducing the leakage flux and eliminating local heating. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of laminate blocks of thin iron plate having predetermined thickness are stacked through a ventilation duct 2 into an annular stator core 1 having an end duct 3 and a core stopper and a stator winding is inserted into slots made in the inner side face. Similarly, a stator core 6 having an end duct 7 and a rotor clamp 10 is formed by stacking a plurality of laminate blocks of thin iron plate having predetermined thickness through a ventilation duct 3 and secondary conductor bars 8 are inserted into slots made in the outside of the rotor. The bars are connected, at the end parts through an end ring 9. This structure reduces flux leakage to the end part in the axial direction of the rotor even upon abrupt variation of load during steady operation thus preventing local heating and protecting an insulator against deterioration.
