    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panelboard for direct current circuits with a commutation type DC breaker, capable of standardizing design of DC breaker storage box, and reducing labor and time required for manufacturing a panelboard for DC circuits suitable to various and versatile applications and specifications.
      SOLUTION: The panelboard for DC circuits having commutation-type DC breaker includes a DC breaker storage box having as a standard structure a main circuit with a master switch, and a commutation-type DC breaker with a commutation circuit having a commutating capacitor and a commutation switch electrically connected in parallel to the master switch; a front-face accommodating box in front of the DC breaker accommodating box with apparatuses for controlling the panelboard and displaying its condition/failure; and a back-face accommodating box at the rear of the DC breaker accommodating box with the apparatuses for monitoring and maintaining the main circuit. These front-face and back-face accommodating boxes are respectively connected to the DC breaker accommodating box to integrate the constitution of the panelboard.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an apparatus by detecting ground fault current at a ground fault accident time with high sensitivity by a three-phase current transformer for detecting the ground fault current and overcurrent flowing to a distribution line.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus of detecting the ground fault of a distribution system includes first and second storing and holding means 305, 304 which always stores and holds a line voltage 303 and zero-phase current 302 generated at three-phase power line for several cycle part, a phase difference detecting means 307 for obtaining a phase difference of the line voltage from a present value by taking out the stored and held value of one cycle part of the line voltage from the first storing and holding means at the time of detecting zero-phase voltage 301 by a ground fault overvoltage relay, a phase correcting means 308 for phase correcting the zero phase current value stored and held in the second storing and holding means by using the phase difference, a zero-phase current difference arithmetic means 309 for obtaining the current change part by arbitrarily performing the calculation of the difference between the zero-phase current value and the present detected value which are phase corrected, and a ground fault direction relay calculating means 300 for detecting the current change part as the ground fault current.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly diagnose a sign of abnormality of operating characteristics of a switch.
      SOLUTION: When a contact 50a is closed and a closing coil 10 is energized with responding to a closing command, a main contact of a breaker 1 is closed and an auxiliary b contact 30a is opened. Time from closure of the contact 50a to opening of the auxiliary b contact 30a is detected as a first action time T1 and time from opening of the auxiliary b contact 30a to closure of an auxiliary a contact 40a is detected by a measuring part 6 as a second action time T2 when closing action of the main contact of the breaker 1 is completed and the auxiliary a contact 40a is closed. The detection times T1, T2 are corrected by a diagnosis part 7 based on detection temperatures of each temperature sensor 5. Existence of abnormality of action times of the breaker 1 is judged by a judging part 8 with comparing corrected action times T1, T2 and fixed values as reference values of each action time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutation type DC breaker which can break promptly a main circuit current by generating a current zero point without increasing capacity and charging voltage of a commutating capacitor.
      SOLUTION: Terminals 10A, 10B of a commutating capacitor 9 are installed at the lower part than the apex of the commutating capacitor and a terminal 14 of a main circuit is brought closer and connected to one of the terminals. With this structure, the length of connecting conductor to connect the commutating capacitor 9 and the main circuit can be made short and, to that extent, the inductance component from the commutating capacitor 9 to the main circuit can be reduced. Thereby, without increasing the capacity and charging voltage of the commutating capacitor 9, the current zero point can be generated promptly and the main circuit current can be cut off promptly.
