摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance uniformity of a temperature distribution in the storage pipe axis direction with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A horizontal dividing wall part 10 is arranged between a ceiling slab 9 and a floor slab 8. Many storage pipes 6 for storing plural canisters 2 respectively are suspended from the ceiling slab 9 and extended toward the floor slab 8, penetrating the horizontal dividing wall part 10. Cooling passages are formed respectively between the horizontal dividing wall part 10 and the ceiling slab 9 and between the horizontal dividing wall part 10 and the floor slab 8. Cooling air flowing in each cooling passage cools the storage pipes 6. The air taken from the outside is supplied to each cooling passage by an inlet duct 19. The air discharged from each cooling passage is exhausted outside from an air discharge duct 12. The horizontal dividing wall part 10 suppresses remarkably rising of cooling gas heated in the lower cooling passage toward the upper cooling passage. Therefore, the upper-mentioned purpose can be attained.

SOLUTION: A radioactive material dry storage equipment 1 has a fuel storage room 2 where container tubes 7 containing spent fuel assemblies are arranged. A metal plate 11 is placed at the lower surface of a ceiling slab 8. A plurality of metal rods 12 attached to the metal plate 11 penetrates the ceiling slab 11 and projects into the carriage room 3. The air flowing from an air inlet path 4 passes between the container tubes 7 to an air exhaust path 5. The heat in the upper part of the fuel storage room 2 is discharged transmitting the metal plate 11 and the metal rods into the carriage room 3. Therefore, the temperature at the ceiling slab 8 can be lowered without increasing the height of the exhaust cylinder 29.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the screening performance without degrading the cooling performance in a radioactive substance dry storage facility. SOLUTION: This radioactive substance dry storage facility 1 is a facility for storing a radioactive waste glass solidified body and it has a concrete building. In the inside thereof, radioactive substances 2 are stored, and it is provided with a storeroom 3 storing the radioactive substances with an outer wall screening radiation, an air inflow port 4 taking in cooling air for the radioactive substances, and an exhaust port 5 exhausting the cooled air. Screens 6 for screening the radioactive substances are positioned upstream and downstream in respect to a flow 7 of air. The screens are columnar structures. The columnar structures are positioned so that no containers incorporating the radioactive substances can be directly seen from any place nearer to the air ports than an area where the columnar structures are positioned. Radiation radiated from the radioactive substances and heading for air inflow and outflow parts can be screened by the screens. Thus, radiation dose heading for an opening part of the facility can be reduced.
