    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work history search method and system that manage work histories on a plurality of PC terminals and search for necessary data in order to enable quick and easy retrieval of data created in the past in a distributed network system wherein a user who moves can use a plurality of PC terminals for data creation and later starts data creation on other PC terminals. SOLUTION: An ID card with a user ID capable of saving a user's terminal use history is carried about. Each PC terminal group records terminal use histories. A terminal used in the past by the user is identified by key items specifying the ID, a terminal name and work content, and the corresponding work history is extracted from the work histories on the terminal.
