摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent pressure pulsation in a pipe due to oscillation by providing at an end of the pipe a fluid resistor having an impedance matching the impedance of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:There is attached to an end of a pipe 2 a resistor 1 having an impedance matching the acoustic impedance of the pipe 2. Thus constructed, pressure waves are absorbed at the end of the pipe 2 and not reflected, so that there occurs no standing wave and great pressure pulsation due to oscillation can be prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the flow of a coolant from becoming unstable without using a movable part by increasing continuously a passage cross sectional area of a coolant passage of a resistance device toward the upstream and the downstream sides, respectively from a throat part, and also, forming the side wall to a continuous plane being free from a corner part. CONSTITUTION:A fuel aggregate 45 consists of a channel box 56, the lower tie plate 38, the upper tie plate 46, a spacer 54, a fuel rod 47 and an orifice 25. The upper and the lower end parts of the fuel rod 47 are held by the lower tie plate 38 and the upper tie plate 46. The orifice 25 is a resistance device, and between each adjacent round bar 27, a gap 28 which becomes a cooling water passage is formed. As for the gap 28, its cross sectional area increases gradually toward the upstream side and the downstream side from a throat part 8A, and the gap is delimited by a pair of side walls constituted of a continuous plane being free from a corner part.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of radioactivity, by installing a heat pipe containing a heating medium between specimen and temperature sensor and contacting a heating unit of the heat pipe with the specimen and the heat sensor with saturated vapor inside the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:A heating medium of the heat pipe is supplied through a heating medium sealing nozzle 12 before operation. A heating section C at the bottom of the heat pipe is immersed in a specimem 5 and upon supply of heat from the specimen 5, temperature of the heating medium is elevated and upon exceeding the saturation temperature, it is evaporated. As the result, vapor pressure is increased to cause vapor to move in the pipe and flow into a cooling section A and a closed flow loop is formed. At its equilibrium, saturated temperature governs the inside of the heat pipe. Consequently, when a thermo-couple 13 is introduced into the cooling section, temperature of the specimen 5 can be determined. At this moment, as the thermo-couple 13 is set apart from the specimen 5, even if a radioactive level of the specimen 5 is high, deterioration of radioactivity of the thermo-couple can be prevented.
