    • A ceiling embedded air conditioner comprises a U-shaped heat exchanger 11 which is placed in a casing 1 embedded in a ceiling and blowers 3a, 3b which are arranged in an inner space of the U-shaped heat exchanger 11. The U-shaped heat exchanger 11 has two side portions and a bottom portion. A panel is mounted on a lower surface of the casing 1 and has two elongated air outlet ports and an air inlet suction port formed between the air outlets. The air conditioner has a control apparatus for controlling the rotations of the blowers so that the rotation of the blower next to the bottom portion of the U-shaped heat exchanger 11 is different form the blower located near the open face of the U-shaped heat exchanger 11. In an alternative embodiment the heat exchanger is C-shaped. In another embodiment the vertical position of the blowers 3a, 3b in the casing 11 is different for each blower. The air conditioner may have a rectifying plate attached to the heat exchanger for encouraging air flow to the heat exchanger 11. The air conditioner reduces wind sound.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability and safety of an air conditioner by preventing the temperature of a rotational speed controller from rising even if an enormous current happens to flow simultaneously with high outdoor temperature. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a refrigeration cycle constituted by connecting by piping an outdoor unit having a compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor expansion valve, and an indoor unit having an indoor expansion valve and an indoor heat exchanger with each other. The air conditioner further comprises a blower 2 connected to a power source 9 through the rotational speed controller 1 so as to variably control the rotational speed thereof, a temperature detector 6 for detecting outdoor temperature and a bypass circuit 10 connecting the power source 9 to the blower 2 with bypassing the controller 1. When the outdoor temperature detected by the detector 6 is a first limiting temperature or higher, the connection of the blower 2 is switched from the controller 1 to the bypass circuit 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner which will not be short in the cooling capacity of an indoor machine due to the working condition of pipeline connection or the like, and which is high in stability while the degree of freedom in designing the same is increased to contrive the improvement of amenity. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with a plurality of indoor machines 191, 19N having indoor heat exchangers 201, 20N and indoor expansion valves 221, 22N, and an outdoor machine 8. A first outdoor heat exchanger 101 and a first outdoor expansion valve 151 are connected to one pipe branched at one of the discharging side of compressors 91, 92, and a second outdoor heat exchanger 102 as well as a second outdoor expansion valve 12 are connected to the other pipe while an outdoor fan 11 for sending air to the first outdoor heat exchanger 101 and the second outdoor heat exchanger 102 while whose number of rotation is variable. In such an air conditioner, a discharging pressure detector 33 for detecting the discharging pressures of the compressors 91, 92 is provided, and, when a discharging pressure is lowered than a predetermined pressure value upon cooling operation and mainly cooling operation, the number of rotation of the outdoor fan 11 is reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate thermal insulating members which are used for prevention of a dew formation of a liquid crystal operating part, reduce a cost and prevent a visibility of the liquid crystal display from being reduced by a method wherein the operating part having a liquid crystal display is positioned at an upper part of an evaporator. SOLUTION: An operating part in a separate type air conditioner is integrally constituted with an indoor device. This device has such a constitution that an operating part 1 having a liquid crystal displaying device is positioned at an upstream side of an evaporator 2. With such an arrangement as above, even in the case of cooling operation, the rear surface of the operating part 1 is not exposed to cold air after being heat exchanged, so that there is no possibility that an occurrence of dew formation to be caused by a temperature difference between a front part and a rear surface of the operating part is generated. Thus, it is possible to perform a dew formation preventing design and save a test expenditure and a thermal insulating member expenditure. In addition, the central part of the device is bulged out and an operating part 1 having a liquid crystal display is arranged at an upper part of the bulged-out section, resulting in that the liquid crystal displaying part is directed upward, its face approaches orthogonally in respect to the sight lien of a person and his visibility can be improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a freezing cycle in freezing cycle control of an air conditioner or a freezer by ensuring compressor oil viscosity upon starting the compressor, preventing discharge gas temperature from excessively rising. SOLUTION: When discharge gas temperature sensed by a temperature sensor 2 provided on a discharge pipe of a compressor 1 exceeds a predetermined value, the compressor 1 is interrupted by separating a relay 5 with an instruction of a control part 4 and is restarted. Opening of an electronic expansion valve 7 upon starting is more opened than initial opening of the expansion valve upon starting of an air conditioner so that overheating of suction gas into an evaporator 8 and the compressor is also lowered whereby discharge gas temperature upon restarting of the compressor is prevented from excessively rising.
