摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a line concentrator having the network management equipment by which a station is easily located on the occurrence of fault by detecting a sender address and storing station management information corresponding to a sender address. CONSTITUTION:Address detection sections 112, 113 detect sender addresses set in received frames and inform the addresses to a control section 114. The control section 114 compares the sender addresses sent from the detection sections 112, 113, discriminates whether a sender station is connected to connection ports 102, 103 to a trunk line ring or connection ports 104-106 leading to a branch line, and stores the result of discrimination and information of a station corresponding to the sender address and the position of the station at the trunk line side and the branch line side to a memory in the control section 114 as station management information. Thus, the station is easily located on the occurrence of a fault, and it is not required for the network manager to store a station address by storing the location of the line concentrator 101.

When the number of times of the block transfer is 0 at the interruption levels 7 and 6, a DMA data transfer is prohibited, and only an MPU 1 is operated. Conversely, when the number of times of the block transfer is infinity at the mask levels 1 and 0, a control is not returned to the MPU 1 until the entire prescribed transfer data are transferred once a DMA data transmission is started. At the mask levels 5-2, a DMA control circuit 3 obtains a bus 5, transfers the data only at the number of times of the block transfer, releases the bus, returns the control to the MPU 1, and transfers the prescribed data several times.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the effect of a communication fault to the entire network and to recover the fault quickly by providing a function which detects occurrence of fault consecutive transmission to avoid the fault and informing the fault occurrence to a manager. CONSTITUTION:In a ring network, a transmission frame from each of stations 120a-120c is detected by a MAC section 111 and an AMT section 112 counts a frame detection signal and when the signal is counted by a predetermined number of times within a predetermined time, it is discriminated that the station is in the frame fault consecutive transmission state. Then an SMT section 112 specifies a station connection port 114 to which the station is connected according to the station configuration and sends a station disconnect command to a bypass switch 113 to bypass the station thereby disconnecting the station from a master system ring 1. Thus, the effect of a fault occurrence station onto the entire network is avoided. Furthermore, fault occurrence is informed to a network manager to execute processing against the fault occurrence station quickly.
