    • A user equipment, UE, (20) determines a mobility state of a Wi-Fi access point, AP, as one of a moving mobility state and a non-moving mobility state along with control information relating to UE cell (re-)selection and/or handover behavior based on the determined mobility state of the Wi-Fi access point, AP. The UE then controls its cell (re-)selection and/or handover behavior in relation to the Wi-Fi access point, AP based on the determined control information. In a preferred embodiment, the UE can communicate with a cellular base station, BS, and with the Wi-Fi access point, AP. The UE detects the Wi-Fi AP, determines that the Wi-Fi AP is moving based on a moving AP indication, and controls cell (re-Selection and/or handover behavior of the UE based on the determination that the Wi-Fi AP is moving along with other information.

    • A system includes a first access network arranged to operate according to a first Radio Access Technology, a second access network arranged to operate according to a second Radio Access Technology, and a user device which is connectable to the first access network and to the second access network. The system also includes an authentication node arranged to identify the user device, when seeking access to the second access network, through a user device identifier for the user device, wherein the user device identifier is associated with the first access network. A query node provides information about a context of the user device in the first access network based on the user device identifier. An access selection node generates an access selection decision for the access sought by the user device to the second access network based on the provided context, and the access selection decision is then executed.

    • Methods, apparatus, and systems for measuring, on a per-QoS-class basis, the average number of user devices active on the uplink of a wireless communication system are disclosed. In an exemplary method, a number of mobile terminals with buffered data for transmission to a base station is estimated based on received buffer status reports. An estimated quantity of active mobile terminals is calculated, based on the received buffer status reports and a number of mobile terminals for which a semi-persistent scheduling grant has been granted. In some embodiments, the estimated quantity of active mobile terminals is estimated on a per-traffic-class basis, in which case the technique includes calculating first and second estimated quantities, corresponding to mobile terminals having active data bearers for first and second traffic classes, respectively, based on the received buffer status reports and the number of mobile terminals for which a semi-persistent scheduling grant has been granted.
