    • A method of video coding including an IntraBC (Intra Block Copy) mode is disclosed. In one embodiment, the reference picture list includes an IntraBC reference picture corresponding to the current and partial reconstructed picture. If the IntraBC mode is selected for a current coding unit, the current coding unit is coded using an IntraBC predictor derived based on the IntraBC reference picture selected from a reference picture list. After the current coding unit is coded, the reconstructed current block is generated and used for updating the IntraBC reference picture. In another embodiment, a motion vector predictor (MVP) or Merge/Skip candidates are determined based on motion vectors of neighboring blocks. The current motion vector associated with the IntraBC mode is coded based on the MVP or Merge/Skip candidates.

    • A method and apparatus for palette prediction and sharing according to the present invention are disclosed. A method incorporating an embodiment of the present invention determines one or more palette sharing flags for the current block. A set of current palettes corresponding to the set of color components is generated according to the palette sharing flags. If a first palette sharing flag is asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are copied entirely from one or more reference palettes of a set of reference palettes. If the first palette sharing flag is not asserted, one or more current palettes indicated by the first palette sharing flag are derived from a bitstream associated with the video data. Encoding or decoding is then applied to the current block according to the set of current palettes.

    • A method of block vector (BV) prediction for an IntraBC mode (Intra-block copy mode) coded block in a video coding system according to the present invention is disclosed. Multiple BV candidate lists are derived from neighboring blocks of the current block. A BV candidate list is selected as a BV predictor for the BV of the current block. The current block is coded based on an Intra reference block located according to the BV of the current block. In one embodiment, a left-bottom (LB) block of the current block is used to derive the first BV candidate list and an above-right (AR) block of the current block is used to derive the second BV candidate list.     • A method of obtaining a disparity vector and its encoding/decoding in the multi-view coding process is disclosed. The present invention includes essentially: determining a disparity vector between two views during the multi-view image coding, and computing a disparity vector between the other two views according to the disparity vector between the two views and the known relative location information between each of the views. Thereafter, the disparity vector is used for multi-view encoding/decoding. The present invention further makes use of the correlation between the disparity vector and depth information of the spatial vector on one hand, and on the other hand makes use of the direct relationship between the disparity vector and the location of each of the cameras. It is experimentally proved that the disparity vector between several views can be accurately computed during the multi-view coding, thereby improving the performance of multi-view coding.
